CCF Hosts High-Impact Colloquium on Sustainable Agriculture
The Chandigarh Citizens Foundation, in collaboration with CRRID and ICRIER, successfully organised a well-attended colloquium on “Promoting Diversification for Higher Incomes & Sustainable Agriculture.”
Distinguished experts Dr. Ramesh Chand (NITI Aayog), Dr. Ashok Gulati, and Dr. Sukhpal Singh led insightful discussions on the need for crop diversification, rational policy incentives, and strengthening agri-market systems.
The deliberations underscored that Punjab and Haryana are at a crucial turning point, requiring bold reforms and a shift towards sustainable, high-value agriculture.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from policymakers, academicians, and stakeholders, and received wide media coverage.

To mark International Women’s Day, the Chandigarh Citizens Foundation (CCF) is organising a special conversation bringing together eight inspiring women leaders from diverse fields — academia, policing, journalism, theatre, medicine, sports, and literature.

Through personal stories and professional insights, they will reflect on how Chandigarh has evolved over the decades — its institutions, public life, opportunities, and challenges.

Students from Panjab University and colleges across the city will participate in this intergenerational dialogue, making it a space where experience meets aspiration.

General V.P. Malik inaugurates “Chandigarh’s Indian Modernists”

Chandigarh Citizens Foundation (CCF) today inaugurated “Chandigarh’s Indian Modernists” at the Government Museum & Art Gallery, Sector 10, as part of the 75 Years of the Idea of Chandigarh commemorations.
The exhibition was formally inaugurated by General V.P. Malik, former Chief of Army Staff.

The exhibition brings into focus the contributions of Indian architects, engineers, administrators and cultural practitioners like Aditya Prakash (Architect & Principal, College of Architecture), A. L. Fletcher (ICS Officer & Planning Administrator), A. R. Prabhawalkar (Senior Project Architect), B. P. Mathur (Institutional Architect), J. K. Chowdhury (Architect & Urban Planner), J. L. Malhotra (Architect & Project Photographer), M. N. Sharma (First Indian Chief Architect, Chandigarh), M. S. Randhawa (Administrator, Cultural Visionary), P. L. Varma (Chief Engineer, Capital Project), P. N. Thapar (Chief Administrator, Capital Project), S. D. Sharma (Architect, Later Institutional Works), U. E. Chowdhury (Architect & One of India’s Early Women Architects) who shaped Chandigarh’s modernist identity. Through drawings, sketches, photographs, paintings, archival material and curated displays, it reflects the collaborative intellectual effort behind the making of the city.

In his address, General Malik emphasised the importance of preserving institutional memory and recognising the Indian minds who contributed to Chandigarh’s modernist vision.
