In this time of uncertainty and strife, both within the Congress and for the masses of Punjab, it is imperative that a Sardar leader with a magnanimous image and clear vision, having the traits of Giani Zail Singh and Giani Gurmukh Singh Musafir, who had lead the Congress in the distant turbulent past, be chosen to lead the Congress in Punjab. It is my firm opinion that Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, who has been a loyal foot soldier of the Congress for more than 3 decades should be the unanimous choice for holding the office as the next Chief Ministers of Punjab.
