What Are the Green Champion Awards?
From tackling waste to inspiring eco-action — the Green Champion Awards by TNPCB recognize real environmental impact across Tamil Nadu.
Whether it’s a school, an industry, or a local body, these awards celebrate those who lead with action — not just intention.
Awardees are judged on awareness, innovation, and sustainability practices, and are publicly honoured for driving change where it matters most.
Each year, 100 individuals or organisations are selected by District Level Award Committees chaired by the District Collectors — ensuring local impact gets the spotlight it deserves.
Because when action meets impact, recognition follows.

Many believe you need acres of space to plant a Kurunkadu.
But the truth is — even a small unused corner in your industrial campus can host one.
A Kurunkadu typically needs just 0.1–0.25 acres and grows into a thriving patch of 1000 native trees like Vembu, Poovarasu, and Aalamaram.
It’s not about the size of the land — it’s about the intent to restore, sustain, and lead.
Let your industry turn grey zones into green assets.
