National MSME Awards 2024: Applications reopened for MSMEs

Branch MSME Development and Facilitation Office Tirunelveli in association with Kalakad Firka Depressed Reforming Assocation, Kalakad organized 30 days Entrepreneurship Skill Training Programme on “AARI WORKS” in Kalakad, Tirunelveli District from 02/12/2025 to 21/01/2026

MSME DFO Chennai organized an Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) on Eco-Friendly Products Manufacturing from 03rd November 2025 to 18th December 2025 at Dr. R.K.S. College of Arts and Science in Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu.
Participants gained significant technical and entrepreneurial knowledge, particularly in the field of eco-friendly product manufacturing. There was an increased awareness regarding the importance of sustainable, bio-degradable products. Several participants expressed interest in starting their own micro-enterprises, marking a significant step toward self-employment and empowerment.
25 women participants successfully completed the training

Branch MSME DFO, Madurai conducted EAP at Vivkananda Colllege, Thiruvedakam, Madurai District on 31/12/2025 in association with Vivkananda Colllege, Thiruvedakam, Madurai District.
Dr.C.Vadivel, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Commerce welcomed all the Guest and expressed
heartfelt thanks to MSME DFO for organizing EAP at their college. Shri. P.Jeyaselvam, Assistant
Director, Branch MSME DFO, Madurai and delivered the Welcome address and explained the objectiveof the programme.
Dr. K.Karthikeyan, Principal, Vivekananda College delivered Chief Guest Address and during his
speech, he urged the participants to utilize the government's subsidy schemes to start new ventures.
Dr. Chandrasekaran, Vice Principal and Dr.K.Chellapandian, HoD, Commerce Department
delivered the Felicitation address.
Shri S.Ganesan, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Madurai, highlighted various
schemes implemented by DIC, Ramanathapuram, including PMEGP, NEEDS, UYEGP, KKT, PMFMET,
and WEES, tailored to support aspiring and existing entrepreneurs
Shri Prashant T.Naik Lead District Manager, Madurai District, spoke about the role of the Office
of the Lead District Manager and financial institution support for entrepreneurship. He also created
awareness on Financial Literacy among the participants.
Shri Raghavan, Sr.Faculty, RUDSET, Madurai, spoke about the importance of skill training
programmes, the various skill training programmes offered by RSETІ..
Shri T.S. Anandhasekar, Project Officer, EDII Ahamedabad gave detailed lecture on

A total of 105 participants attended the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme.

Branch MSME Development & Facilitation Office (Government of India, Ministry of MSME), Madurai in association with Entrepreneurial Development Cell (EDC), Kunthavai Naachiyar Govt. Arts College for Women (Autonomous) Thanjavur organized a One-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) at Thanjavur on 28 Nov 2025. The Program was started around 9.30 am with Participants attendance Registrations on the said date. The Welcome & Key Note Address jointly delivered by Shri K. SARAVANAN Asst. Director & Program Coordinator of Branch MSME DFO Madurai & Prof. Dr. P. MUTHAMIL THIRUMAGAL, EDC Coordinator of above said Institution. The EAP Program objective and DC MSME Schemes were highlighted and emphasized by Shri K. SARAVANAN AD in his key Note Address. Prof. Dr D. ROSI Principal of the above said College delivered the Inaugural Address and she presided over the inaugural function also. Shri NEERAJ TIWARI Young Professional (Y. P) of Br. MSME DFO Madurai & EDC Student beneficiaries of above Kunthavai Naachiyaar College were jointly delivered the vote of Thanks to participants before Technical Sessions. Shri PRABU JAYAKUMAR MOSES, GM-DIC Thanjavur shortly delivered a lecture in his First Technical session on Role of District Industries Centre, Thanjavur and he elaborated the available State Govt subsidy Schemes towards the promotion of New Entrepreneurs (PMEGP, UYEGP, NEEDS etc

Br.MSME DFO,Madurai was conducted thirty days ESDP on Basic Tailoring at Krishna Complex, Madagupatti, SIvaganga District in association with Vallimayil Group of Institutions from14.11.2025 to 24.12.2025. Total of 32 candidates participated and benefited from the programme. Guest faculties from Sivaganga District DIC, LDM, KVIC, EDII were invited for delivering lecturers to promote Entrepreneurship spirit among women.

During the thirty days programme, seminars were conducted on the topics like Who is an Entrepreneur & Charms of being an Entrepreneur, Enhancing Marketing Avenues, Competencies of successful entrepreneurs, Business Opportunity identification and guidance, Soft Skill Development, Motivation Training, Procedure to get Loan from bank and other institutions, Role of support agencies in Entrepreneurship Development, Creativity and Problem solving, Delegation of Authority and Work Effort, UDYAM Registration and other statutory registration, Preparing Preliminary Project Report, Business Plan, Cost of Project, Means of finance, Accounts and book Maintenance, Briefing and Planning for the Market Survey, How to prepare detailed Project Report, Need and Importance of Financial Management, Conducting Market Survey and Data Collection for the identified business opportunities, State and Central Govt. Schemes for MSMEs, Production Planning in MSME.
Apart from theoretical aspects, practical sessions on petticoat, embroidery work, designer blouse & designer salwar stitching were thought to the participants.

The Hon’ble Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Shri. Jitan Ram Manjhi visited Chennai on December 28 and 29, 2025. During this visit, he reviewed the performance of all MSME field offices and held an interaction meeting with the MSME association in Tamil Nadu.

MSME DFO, Chennai organized "MSME Samvad" - Zonal Conference on Cost & Competitiveness of MSMEs on 03.12.2025 at Chennai trade Centre, to consolidate insights and discuss sector-specific challenges.
