The CAA organised the "Sensitisation Programme on Sustainable Coastal Aquaculture & Regulatory Frameworks" in Bhubaneswar, Odisha with Fisheries Officers, Farmers, hatchery operators, exporters on 17-10-2025. The Secretary CAA, Principal Secretary, Fisheries and ARD Department, Director of Fisheries, Odisha, DD, MPEDA, Officers from ORSAC and EIC have attended the programme. Technical presentations were made on Farms registration, enrollment, Traceability, COAST App, Primary production audit of coastal aquaculture farms etc., followed by the Demo on NSWS Online registration process and interaction with stakeholders and Officers.

Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi, Secretary, Department of Fisheries, Government of India has visited the Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS) Farm at Dalutpur Village, Bassi Pathana, District Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, today.
During the visit, Dr. Amteshwar Gill, owner of the farm, explained the innovative adoption of RAS technology to enhance and generate opportunities.

The Inspection Committee of CAA inspected shrimp hatcheries and one live feed unit in Villupuram District in Tamil Nadu on 15-10-2025. The Director Technical & STA, CAA and representatives from ICAR-CIBA, MPEDA and Fisheries Department participated in the inspection of Units.

The Secretary, CAA and Technical staff attended the meeting held with District Fisheries Officers of Tamil Nadu virtually on 9-10-2025 and discussed the issues related to registration and renewal of coastal aquaculture farms, online processing of applications by the SDLCs, reconciliation of accounts related to the CAA Registration fees collected, conducting of aqua shops inspection by the Task Force Teams and other coastal aquaculture related issues.

The Director (Technical), CAA convened meeting with the Fisheries Officers of Gujarat state virtually on 3rd October 2025 and discussed on registration of coastal aquaculture farms online through NSWS Portal and sharing API to access the CAA farms registration data by the Gujarat state Fisheries Department for integration with their portal and analytics.

CAA staff participated in the Coastal Cleanup Programme on 30.09.2025 at Thondiyakkadu Panjat, Munangadu village, Thiruvarur District. Further, the Swachhata Hi Seva Programme was conducted at Munangadu jetty along with the Sub-Inspector of Fisheries, Sagar Mitra Team, villagers, and Panjat Team. A total of 30 members actively joined.

CAA staff participated in the Swachhotsav – Swachhata Hi Seva-2025 Programme on 27.09.2025 at BMR Feed Plant, Damavaram Village, Dagadarthi Mandal, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh. The surrounding area (about 100 meters) was cleaned along with 20 farm technicians who actively took part.

CAA staff participated in the Coastal Cleanup Programme on 26.09.2025 at M.R. Pattinam (Muthuramalinga Pattinam), Thondi, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu. Additionally, the Swachhata Hi Seva Programme was conducted at M.R. Pattinam beach along with the Sub-Inspector of Fisheries, Sagar Mitra Team, and the Local Women Welfare Team. A total of 30 members actively participated, cleaning a stretch of 500 meters along the beach.
