is organizing online bhajan classes by Ms. Amrita Suresh, starting Sunday, 06th March 12 - 1pm IST.

Ms.Amrita Suresh is an Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham alumnus, who after obtaining her B.Tech degree, went on to complete a Dual Masters degree in Robotics at France and Italy. Currently working as a Robotics Engineer in Grenoble, France. Amrita has been singing since the age of 4. She received formal training in classical Carnatic from her mother, and also plays the harmonium and the keyboard.

Class details: The online training will be for bhajans sung by Amma invoking different deities, in different languages, with careful attention to melody(swara), rhythm(taala) and tone(bhava) of the bhajan.
Audio clips of the bhajans taught will also be available after each session. Participants may practice and send back their own audio files thereafter.

As part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of Indian Independence, 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', the Ministry of Education, GOI, has undertaken a noble goal to perform 75 crores Suryanamaskarams across India, by individuals, groups, organizations and educational institutions. As children of Bharat Mata, the origin of the ancient wisdom of the Rishis, the sacred land that taught meditation and yoga to the world—it is our dharma to contribute our share of Suryanamaskarams for the successful completion of this noble cause.

AYUDH India is coordinating 21 days Suryanamaskar practice - 31st Jan - 20th February. We encourage all to participate to express our love and devotion to our Motherland.
We are fortunate that the inauguration of this auspicious event will be done by Swamiji (Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, Vice-Chairman, Mata Amritanandamayi Math)
