Recruitment | Chief Executive Officer – iTNT Hub

Tamil Nadu Technology Hub iTNT Hub under the AI, Information Technology and Digital Services Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, invites applications for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position in Chennai.

The role will lead the strategic direction, operations, startup and innovation ecosystem development, partnerships, and growth of iTNT Hub, with a focus on Deep Tech and Emerging Technologies.

Eligibility highlights:
- MBA from a reputed Business School; Engineering background preferred
- Minimum 15 years of senior management experience in technology companies/startup incubators
- At least 5 years of experience in building or leading startup and innovation ecosystems
- Strong understanding of technology, entrepreneurship, innovation and government systems

AI in Governance | Batch II

The second batch of the AI in Governance Workshop, conducted under the Tamil Nadu Artificial Intelligence Mission (TNAIM), was held on 16th and 17th September 2026 at Anna Centenary Library, Chennai.

Organized by Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency and Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (ELCOT), the workshop brought together Government officials to move beyond AI awareness and explore its practical applications in day-to-day governance.

The sessions covered:

🔹 AI fundamentals, prompting and responsible AI
🔹 Custom AI assistants and connecting AI with authorised data through MCP
🔹 AI tools for administrative workflows and document understanding
🔹 Hands-on model training and understanding AI bias
🔹 Indian and sovereign AI capabilities through Sarvam AI and Indus
🔹 AI agents and knowledge bases for Government workflows
🔹 Data privacy, security and responsible adoption

The workshop also focused on translating AI capabilities into practical departmental use cases, including summarising policies, comparing Government Orders, analysing tenders, preparing SOPs and Minutes of Meetings, and developing standardised AI agents for recurring Government workflows.

An engaging and insightful workshop on "AI in Governance" was conducted on 8 September 2026 at the Anna Centenary Library, Kotturpuram, Chennai, under the Tamil Nadu AI Mission, AI, IT & Digital Services Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, with participation from 60+ officials across various Government departments.
The workshop was conducted in partnership with Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency, Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Ltd., GUVI, ICT Academy, Sarvam AI and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing : C-DAC, bringing together government stakeholders and AI ecosystem partners to explore the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in Governance.
The sessions provided a useful and engaging learning experience, enabling participants to learn about emerging AI technologies and explore relevant use cases through practical applications. Through hands-on exercises, participants worked with prompt engineering, built AI agents, experimented with agentic workflows, and used practical AI tools for day-to-day government activities, with a focus on enhancing government efficiency, innovation, and citizen-centric governance.
