Job Summary:
Tool Hive seeks a motivated Diploma Sales Engineer to drive B2B sales of cutting tools (HSS drills, end mills, Solid Carbide Drills, Endmills, Rotary Burr Cutters, Threading tools and Coolant Oil) in the Chennai region. The role focuses on technical customer engagement, Plant visits, Trials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular customer visits to factories, machine shops, and OEMs for lead generation and relationship building.
• Understand customer machining applications, recommend appropriate cutting tools, perform product demos and trials.
• Follow up on orders, handle after-sales support.
• Update the customer follow up feedbacks reports on Excel/CRM.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Automobile Engineering from a recognized polytechnic.
Technical Knowledge:
• Basic understanding of machining processes (turning, milling, drilling, threading), cutting speeds/feeds, tool materials, and common machine tools.
Skills and Traits:
• Strong communication in Tamil and beginner in English will be an added advantage; confident in shop-floor discussions.
• Self-driven with a growth mindset and comfortable with field travel (2-wheeler license required).
• Basic knowledge in MS Excel.
