Import of drone is restricted vide Notification No. 16/2015 -2020 dated 27.07.2016 and requires prior clearance from Directorate General of Civil Aviation and an import license from Directorate General of Foreign Trade.

Duty on Television after Budget 2018-19:

Flat panel televisions are not entitled for free baggage allowance and the Customs duty will be;levied @38.5% (inclusive of all Cesses) on the value as determined by the Assessing Officer. The passenger is advised to carry the invoice/bill of purchase.

The value would be determined on the basis of the invoice produced, the TV, and the currency exchange rate adopted by the Central Board of Excise and Customs, Ministry of Finance, as on the date of arrival into India.

Non-Resident Indian Citizens & Resident Indian Citizens who were abroad during November 9, 2016 to December 30, 2016 can declare their Specified Bank Notes (Old Rs.1,000 & Rs.500 Notes) upto Rs.25,000/- at Customs Counter as per CBEC Circular No.60/2016-Customs dated 31.12.2016.
