*SOUL Palliative Care Conducts Two-Day Nursing Training Program in Collaboration with Savita College of Nursing*

SOUL Palliative Care, a dedicated organization committed to providing compassionate, community-based palliative care and promoting awareness and education in the field, successfully organized a two-day Nursing Training Program to enhance nurses’ knowledge, clinical skills, and patient-centered approach.

The program was inaugurated by *Ms. Preetha Mahesh*, who shared the vision and journey of SOUL Palliative Care and its ongoing efforts to improve quality of life for patients with serious illnesses. Expert sessions were delivered by *Dr. Nirupa Sundaravadanam* on palliative care concepts, *Dr. Mallika Tiruvadanan* on communication skills, and *Lt. Mrs. Alice Stella Verginia,* who led extensive sessions on symptom management and essential nursing procedures including wound, bladder, and tracheostomy care.

Further sessions by *Dr. Divya Narayana* focused on end-of-life care and ethics, while *Dr. Revathi Saravanan* highlighted psychological support. *Dr. Mohamed Nidhal* S concluded with an insightful session on pain assessment and the WHO pain management ladder.

The training covered key areas such as dyspnea, delirium, nausea, constipation, and holistic care practices, combining theory with practical learning. The program was highly interactive and well-received, strengthening participants’ ability to deliver dignified, patient-centered, and compassionate care.

We listened and learned, with empathy and care,
And offered our support, with a loving air.

Through trials and tribulations, we've shared,
A bond of trust, a friendship beyond compare.
With each small victory, our hearts sing,
A celebration of life, a joy that brings.

In the quiet moments, when the world fades away,
We hold their hands, and we pray.
For peace and comfort, for strength and might,
To face each new day, with hope and light.

This journey's not easy, but it's worth the fight,
To bring dignity and love, to those in need tonight.
With every step forward, our hearts beat as one,
In this sacred work, we've just begun.
