CISF Honoured by India Book of Records for Vande Mataram CISF Coastal Cyclothon-2026
The Central Industrial Security Force has been awarded a Certificate by the India Book of Records for achieving the maximum participation by a CAPF in a coastal cyclothon , reflecting outstanding endurance and teamwork.
During the Vande Mataram CISF Coastal Cyclothon–2026, two CISF teams simultaneously rode along India’s eastern and western coastlines, covering 6,553 km before converging at Kochi, Kerala, spreading awareness on coastal security and national unity.
This recognition highlights CISF’s dedication beyond its core mandate, reflecting the Force’s resolve to strengthen national security while inspiring unity, resilience and community participation.

CISF pays heartfelt tribute to Bravehearts CT/GD A. V. Falgunan and CT/GD S. C. Konnur, who laid down their lives in the line of duty while on election duty (GPE-98) in the State of Andhra Pradesh. On 23 February 1998, they made the supreme sacrifice in a bomb explosion triggered by PWG cadres at RSTPP, Ramagundam. Their valour and selfless service to the nation remain an enduring source of inspiration for all ranks.

DG CISF Reviews Maritime Security at Chennai Port

DG CISF Shri Praveer Ranjan reviewed operational preparedness at Port, undertaking a patrolling sortie with CISF Marine Commandos to assess and response capabilities. He also visited the Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) Centre to review vessel monitoring and navigational safety, emphasizing the importance of technology-driven port security.

A Sainik Sammelan was also held, where DG CISF appreciated the smooth and efficient organisation of the by South Sector and urged personnel to focus on professional upgradation, and well-being under Project Mann. He also interacted with private security personnel of Chennai and Ennore Ports, stressing unity and close with CISF for an effective security framework.
