Lucknow Declared UNESCO ‘Creative City of Gastronomy'
A proud moment for India.
Lucknow has officially been recognised as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy during the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference in Uzbekistan.
This global recognition celebrates the city’s centuries-old Awadhi cuisine, rich culinary traditions, and its inclusive cultural heritage. The honour marks a milestone for Uttar Pradesh and for India’s diverse food legacy—positioning Lucknow among the world’s top gastronomic destinations.

In line with nationwide celebrations, the Yuva Tourism Clubs of Hindu Senior Secondary School, Shan Academy, Chennai, and Kendriya Vidyalaya–2, HAPP, Trichy celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 31st October 2025 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India — Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Students and teachers came together to take a pledge for national integration, followed by a short film screening highlighting the life, vision, and immense contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel toward the unity of our nation.

The Southern Regional Office, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, in association with the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), organized the Adventure Tourism Seminar in Coimbatore on 28th October 2025 under the theme “Navigating Towards a Safer & Stronger Future.”
The seminar brought together more than 120 delegates from the adventure tourism sector, including tour operators, experts, and government officials, to deliberate on safety, sustainability, and skill development in adventure tourism.
Mr. D. Venkatesan, Regional Director (South), highlighted India’s immense potential for adventure tourism and encouraged participants to register on the NIDHI platform for recognition and capacity-building support. Mr. Sanket Balwant Waghe, IAS, Additional Collector, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Coimbatore, spoke about Tamil Nadu’s vast potential and Coimbatore’s strategic position as a gateway to South India’s adventure destinations.
