Amid a raging debate on the sedition law ,President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday said the Indian Penal Code (IPC) requires a thorough revision to meet the needs of the 21st century and changes are necessary in the "archaic" police system.

"The IPC has undergone very few changes in the last 155 years. Very few crimes have been added to the initial list of crimes and declared punishable," he said at the valedictory event on the occasion of the year-long celebrations of the 155th anniversary of IPC in Kochi.
"Even now, there are offences in the code which were enacted by the British to meet their colonial needs. Yet, there are many new offences which have to be properly defined and incorporated in the code, said by President of India.

मौजूदा सरसंघचालक डाॅ मोहन भागवत ने नागपुर विश्वविद्यालय से वेटनरी सर्जन की डिग्री हासिल की है।

जो लोग जेएनयू में पढ़ने भर से दुनिया के सबसे बड़े इंटेलेक्चुअल होने के दावे के साथ देश तोड़ने की बात को अभिव्यक्ति की आजादी के साथ जोड़ते हैं उन्हें यह समझ लेना चाहिए संघ के लोग विद्द्या को तोड़ने में नहीं जोड़ने में लगाना चाहते हैं। व्यक्ति को व्यक्ति से समाज को समाज से ................

भारत को बर्बाद करो इतनी भी तुम्हारी औकात नहीं!
कलम पकड़ने वाले हाथों को बंदूक उठाना ना पड़ जाए,
अफज़ल के लिए लड़ने वाले कहीं हमारे हाथो न मर जाये!
भगत सिंह और आज़ाद की इस देश में कमी नहीं,
बस इक इंक़लाब होना चाहिए,
इस देश को बर्बाद करने वाली हर आवाज दबनी चाहिए!
ये देश तुम्हारा है ये देश हमारा है, हम सब इसका सम्मान करें,
जिस मिट्टी पे हैं जनम लिया उसपे हम अभिमान करें! जय हिंद

How things have changed over the years.

Small things matter big sometimes.
Gestures wont go unnoticed, you just have to focus on the right ones.
For example, had our journos cared to look beyond the brand of Modi's shawl, they'd have noticed that for the first time an Indian PM travels on a desi flight and takes the videshi PM and his missus along.
You may argue that we can't sell 'Make in India' travelling a foreign flyer. But thats teh whole point - for the first time in decades we have a leader whose idea of India is self reliance.
One day, hopefully, even the planes we fly would be made in India.

For the first time, protocols were broken and Canada PM Stephen Harper & PM Narendra Modi travelled in same flight along with Harper's wife Laureen from Ottawa to Toronto.
Stephen Harper presented 900 years old piece of sculpture from Khajuraho temple, which had somehow reached Canada after being stolen.
The country which put sanctions against India in 1970 over nuclear technology has after Modi's visit agreed to provide nuclear fuel to India for next 5 years.
That's the power of Modi.......... :) :) :)
