आम आदमी पार्टी ने विश्वास मत हासिल किया. आप सभी को बहुत बहुत बधाई पर ये खुशियाँ मनाने का वक़्त नहीं. अब हमें भ्रष्टाचार मुक्त भारत के लिए और जी जान लगाकर काम करना है.

The Aam Aadmi now has the confidence of the Delhi Assembly. 37 people voted in favour of the agenda of the common people. 32 opposed it.

Our work for the people will continue. I have stated on record, in the house, that no form of corruption will be tolerated, regardless of who indulges in it. Our next priority is the passage of the strong Lokayukta bill for Delhi.

Before the elections many people accused that is just making false promises and will not be able to deliver.

In it's first two days in office, we have given the most perfect reply we could have by acting as we promised. First thing we did was to put breaks on the VIP culture in Delhi and use of red beacons. Next to that we delivered on the promise we had made on providing 20Kl of free drinking water per month per household. Next to that we compensated Rs 1Cr to widow of a constable who was killed by the liquor mafia and after that, the power tariffs in Delhi have been slashed by 50%. As promised to the trader and business community of Delhi, we have also simplified the VAT filing system.

Apart from this, a few things, which were not directly part of our manifesto, like 5500 autos which can go ferry passengers across Delhi-NCR and issuing 15,000 new auto permits.

As we begin this new year, all we want to assure you is that we will keep working like this because we are not here to enjoy power, we are here to decentralize power, give it back to the hands of the people.
