Grey Junglefowl - சாம்பல் காட்டு சேவல்

The Grey Junglefowl (Gallus sonneratii), endemic to peninsular India, is a common resident in the Western Ghats, preferring deciduous and evergreen forests, bamboo groves, and Lantana thickets.

These timid birds, known for their distinct "Kuck-kaya-kaya-kuck" call, are often found in pairs or small groups foraging on the ground for seeds, berries, and termites.

Maruthamalai when visited in early morning or in evening in less crowded time, you can see it’s true beauty and it’s wildlife’s.

Marudhamalai is a 12th-century hilltop temple dedicated to Lord Murugan, located within the Western Ghats in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
