Grey Junglefowl - சாம்பல் காட்டு சேவல்
The Grey Junglefowl (Gallus sonneratii), endemic to peninsular India, is a common resident in the Western Ghats, preferring deciduous and evergreen forests, bamboo groves, and Lantana thickets.
These timid birds, known for their distinct "Kuck-kaya-kaya-kuck" call, are often found in pairs or small groups foraging on the ground for seeds, berries, and termites.
