If we protect and maintain the forests in the foothills of the Western Ghats, they will become home to many plants and animals, and their population will increase.

But currently, we are not maintaining them in many places. Real estate, resorts, and agriculture are destroying the foothill forest areas.

Happy to see some of the forest still left below this foothills.

In many parts of Western Ghats, only hills is a forest area to wildlife’s. Areas below hills all converted to agricultural and residential lands.

We need to increase the forest areas below the hills also.
