NSS Special Camp (2025–2026)

Day – 4 (11.02.2026 – Wednesday)
Culturals:

The day concluded with enthusiastic cultural performances by the volunteers. Various programmes were presented to promote unity and teamwork. At the end of the culturals, the camp flag was respectfully exchanged with the next team as a symbol of responsibility and continuity. The fourth day ended successfully with a strengthened commitment towards awareness and community welfare.

Rally / Street Play:
In the evening at 6.00 p.m., a Drug Abuse Awareness Programme was organized. The volunteers actively participated in spreading awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and emphasized the importance of leading a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.

At 2.30 p.m., an awareness programme on Women and Child Protection Laws was conducted by Mrs. S. Meena, MSW, Project Officer from Sakshi NGO. She explained the legal rights and protective measures available for women and children. The session highlighted important laws, safety mechanisms, and support systems, encouraging students to be alert and proactive in safeguarding rights.

The fourth day of the NSS Special Camp began with the ceremonial flag hoisting followed by a solemn morning prayer. The prayer created a peaceful and positive atmosphere, encouraging unity and dedication among the volunteers.

The third day ended successfully with renewed commitment towards public health and social responsibility.

Rally and Street Play:
A dengue awareness rally was organized. The volunteers spread awareness about preventive measures, removal of stagnant water, and the importance of hygiene to control mosquito breeding. The rally effectively delivered important health messages to the local community.

Academic:
In the afternoon at 2.30 p.m., a special seminar on “Student Involvement in Social Responsibility” was delivered by Mr. A. Madhivanan, M.A., B.L., Mediator, District Court ADR Panel. He explained legal awareness, conflict resolution, and the important role of youth in promoting harmony and justice in society. The interactive session provided valuable insights into responsible citizenship and social commitment.

Activity:

At 10.00 a.m., the volunteers carried out a World Cleanliness Day initiative. They cleaned public areas and created awareness about maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. The activity promoted community participation and reinforced the message that cleanliness is a shared responsibility.

PT Session:

After the prayer, an energetic Physical Training (PT) session was conducted. The session encouraged coordination, teamwork, and active participation. It refreshed the volunteers and prepared them enthusiastically for the day’s service activities
