Yesterday had a sudden plan to meet friends for dinner so after discussing about few restaurant names, decided to finally meet at newly opened chennai famous - SS HYDERABAD BIRYANI in Gandhipuram. We reached at 8 Pm and the place was bustling, had to wait in the queue outside for 15-20 mins to get a seat for 4. After getting our table ordered Mutton hyd dum biriyani (which we were told over) and changed it to chicken dum biriyani, butter roti, pepper chicken gravy, spicy and crispy chicken, paneer tikka, paneer butter massla

Chicken biriyani - basmathi rice. Good taste, no complaints, quantity will be for 2 persons. Went well with their brinjal curry (dhalcha) 4/5
Roti - As usual decent one 3.5/5
Pepper chicken gravy - Good one, nicely accompanied roti 4/5
Spicy crispy chicken - KFC styled, did not impress much 3/5
Paneer tikka - decent one 3.75/5
Paneer butter masala - okayish one, I use don't like sweetish tasting gravies but was decent one 3.75/5
Complementary bread halwa - wow what a taste,that too a dessert as complementary 4.5/5
Since it was very crowded, we did not get to taste their cold drinks(juice sections) as it was past 9:30 and had to close the restaurant at 10 and they already had a long queue for the juice section.

Bill was around 1290 for 4 that too because we had one vegetarian so, I feel it is not a highly priced restaurant..

Final verdict - Good chennai style basmathi biriyani restaurant with good portions, check and order as the portions of gravy and biriyani would be satisfying 2 ; in our case, we had to make the remaining 3 rotis, chicken and paneer gravy as take away as we were not able to have it fully.
This restaurant would not dig a big hole in your pocket and hence if you wanted to treat your friends and families, this would be a ideal place. Share your favourite dishes in this restaurant if you have visited coimbatore or chennai outlets

Went to Pattikadu Dhaba, last weekend for lunch with friends.
Good ambience and decent food, overall bill was 2500 for 4., we had starters only mostly and only had roti at the end.
highlight was chicken fire, chicken dynamite, Nattukoli varuval, chicken kfc type fry
Decent items were fish manchurian,roti and chicken chettinadu
Let down was crab lollipop and there was no dessert except kulfi ive cream...they cam also focus on cleaning the alcohol bottles as it was found dumped near the kudil we were and also the tables were bit smelly after our request, they had placed agarbhathi as they didn't have room freshers..
Overall a good place to hang out with friends and chill out
