இன்று மாலை 6.20 மணியளவில் கெண்டையூர் மாதையன் தோட்டத்தில் இந்தியவகை மலைப்பாம்பு பிடிக்கப்பட்டு வனத்துறையினரிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டு காப்புக்காட்டுப் பகுதியில் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டது. சுமார் 11 அடி நீளம் கொண்டது.

Yesterday morning Mr. Christopher received a call from a farmer that they saw a King Cobra in their farm near Mettupalayam. He rushed to the spot and rescued it. And the snake was released in its suitable habitat with the help of Mettupalayam Forest Department. The King Cobra measured 8Ft long.

On the Note of 'World Snake Day' - Wildlife Wranglers & Tiger Scouts jointly conducted a Snake Awareness Program at Kallar, Mettupalayam. Mettupalayam Range Officer Mr. Joseph Stalin and his team joined and graced the occasion.

A booklet 'Snakes of South India' was launched which is purely for awareness purpose and was distributed to School Students & Public.

Students from CS Academy, Coimbatore participated in the event.

Awareness program on Nature to the students today of Sellandiamman School, Annur at Kallar.

Awareness on Tree planting was also given along with the Native tree saplings distribution at Kallar, Mettupalayam. Birds and Butterfly's Importance to Nature and Conservation Methods were also taught.

Paper Presentation on Behalf of Tamilnadu on Kallar Biodiversity and Corridor. The event held on the first week of September in Kuvempu University, Shimoha headed by various NGOs of south India. Our team along with Tamilnadu Green Movement represented Tamilnadu and had a presentation on Biodiversity of Kallar along with the issues faced by it due to corridor shrinkage.

EARTH HOUR 2018

On the note of Earth hour we had an village awareness program on snakes to a village in Kothagiri. It was an wonderful event where our team made the people to get aware of snakes and snakebite with first Aid. Kudos to the team for the beautiful event.
