Collector & DM made a surprise visit to Nehurupalli Leprosy Hospital and interacted with patients to assess the quality of care being provided. Reviewed the timely availability of food, healthcare services, and other essential facilities, while ensuring proper treatment and patient well-being.

Collector & DM visited Bamphakuda adjacent to NH-16 under Cuttack Sadar Tahasil to review the proposed establishment of a Yatri Nivas-cum-Guest House along with Parking facility for pilgrims traveling to Puri for the darshan of . The initiative aims to enhance pilgrim amenities and provide comfortable transit facilities.

Early this morning, the Collector and DEO, Cuttack, visited several areas of Niali Assembly Constituency to supervise and review the field-level activities of BLOs under SIR-2026. Their visit underscored the commitment to ensuring accuracy, transparency, and effective implementation of the electoral roll revision process.

Day 2 of the Enumeration Process successfully continued with dedicated field-level verification, household visits, and citizen interaction across the assigned areas. Enumeration teams conducted door-to-door outreach, verified details, distributed and collected forms, and provided guidance to residents regarding the survey process.

Collector & District Election Officer flagged off an Awareness Vehicle to sensitise voters about the importance of active participation in SIR-2026 and to encourage wholehearted cooperation with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during the programme. Strengthening democratic participation through awareness and outreach.

Strengthening electoral transparency and information management, the Collector & District Election Officer inaugurated the Media Monitoring Centre for for effective media coordination and monitoring.

Collector and District Election Officer briefed the media on SIR-2026, highlighting preparedness, transparency and coordinated efforts for the smooth conduct of the electoral process. Emphasis was laid on ensuring free, fair and inclusive elections through active public participation and administrative readiness.
