The training provided to the flood control room duty staff at the Disaster Management Cell in Daman aims to enhance their preparedness and response capabilities. Through a comprehensive program covering communication, monitoring, emergency response, technology use, practical drills, and health and safety, the staff will be well-equipped to manage flood emergencies effectively.

The latest versions of Vahan & Sarathi applications have been implemented in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu. These applications provide easy access to services of the transport department.

CHILDLINE 1098 is India’s first 24X7 free emergency phone service for children in need of aid and assistance. And it is functional in Daman & Diu districts.

Since there can be no compromise on the quality of mid-day meals being served to students. The UT collaborated with Akshaypatra Foundation and served 53,000 students.

Diu-Ahmedabad-Diu sector was connected by air under UDAN 2.0 Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS). Additionally, Pawan Hans helicopter service has also been initiated between Daman and Diu.
