An Adoption Awareness Programme was organized by the State Adoption Resource Agency (SARA) under Mission Vatsalya, Social Welfare Department, DNH & DD, with support from the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India.

The programme focused on promoting the adoption of children with special needs (Divyang children) and highlighted the importance of non-institutionalized rehabilitation.

It included an interactive meet for prospective adoptive parents and adoptive parents, aimed at spreading awareness, addressing concerns, and encouraging adoption as a means of providing a nurturing family environment to children in need.

The event was held on 27th February 2026 at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Government College, Silvassa (DNH).

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Swachhta Pakhwada was observed across all Anganwadi Centres in DNH & DD, focusing on sanitation and cleanliness.

AWCs conducted cleanliness drives and organized awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene, sanitation practices, and clean eating habits for women and adolescent girls.

The initiative aimed to promote health, hygiene, and dignity, empowering women to lead healthier lives.
