The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), in collaboration with the Government of Madhya Pradesh and with technical support from UNDP in India, hosted a two-day "Capacity Building Workshop on Monitoring Frameworks for Sustainable Development Goals, Compilation of Environment Accounts, and Gender Statistics" in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

The first day of the event was dedicated to discussing the SDGs. Stakeholder Ministries presented insights on various aspects of the SDGs, including how Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) may be aligned with them. The second day of the course is dedicated to the environment, gender, and other vital topics.

Dr. Manoj Pant, Director SETU Aayog/Planning, ACEO-CPPGG, presented SDG monitoring mechanisms of Uttarakhand as a best practice. Further, Dr. Pant presented methodology, outcome of the study on Forest Resource Accounting, and the Sustainable Environmental Performance Index.

Mr. Mohit Chaudhary, Women Empowerment and Child Development (WECD), Uttarakhand, and Mr. Shailendra Kumar, Monitoring and Evaluation Expert, CPPGG also attended the program.

The Centre for Public Policy and Good Governance, Government of Uttarakhand, in collaboration with UNDP in India, organizes the Award annually to recognize and celebrate the remarkable initiatives of individuals and organizations contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.

This year, we added another category in the awards - "SDG Achievers - Corporates" to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding contributions of corporates in advancing the SDGs through their (CSR) initiatives.

We aim to highlight exemplary practices/ projects to accelerate progress towards the .

We are currently accepting for the Achievers Award 2023.

उक्त उद्देश्यों को ध्यान में रखते हुये सेंटर फॉर पब्लिक पॉलिसी एड गुड गवर्नेस (CPPGG) तथा यूनाइटेड नेशन्स डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम (UNDP), द्वारा उत्तराखण्ड 'एसडीजी अचीवर्स अवार्ड का आयोजन वर्ष 2023 में आयोजित किया जा रहा है।

Celebrating work of Creative Attempts in Rural Development Society (CARD)

CARD works to prevent human trafficking, gender discrimination, and violence. They provide education and rehabilitation through the Ujjwala Punarwas Center. With 385 registered cases in 5 years, they've successfully rehabilitated 376 individuals, primarily addressing human trafficking issues along the Indo-Nepal border in Pithoragarh district.

Celebrating work of Foundation which ensures healthcare access in 80+ villages in Nainital & Almora. Along with Aarohi Arogya Kendra and Amrit Clinic, they run a Mobile Medical Unit equipped with essential facilities.

In over 101 camps, they've aided 3718 patients, conducted 2758 OPD visits, and completed 66 IPD cases.
