National Service Scheme , Law College Dehradun Unit organized a clothes and blanket
distribution drive on December 28, 2021 which aimed on providing warm clothes and
blankets to those who are in need. This was done with the support of all the students of Law
College Dehradun who donated their old clothes. Students were requested to bring to the
college premise any clothes which they wished to donate.
Our little actions can greatly help those who are in need.
The drive was conducted with an aim to donate old clothes to the underprivileged. The
initiative behind the drive which led to its success was “Old clothes still can warm many
people, This winter donate.”
In this drive, the NSS Wing of Law College Dehradun encouraged the students to donate
their old clothes. A big support from the students was seen in the drive. The location chosen
for the noble cause was Mitthi Beri, Premnagar, Dehradun.
The NSS Volunteers assembled near the main gate of Law College Dehradun at 01:30 PM,
and were taken to the place via College Bus. The Donation Drive happened swiftly. Dr.
Khaleeq Ahmad, NSS coordinator of Law College Dehradun was present at the occasion and
guided the volunteers throughout the drive. The drive turned out to be a success because of
the support and blessings of Dr. Rajesh Bahuguna, Dean, Law College Dehradun. Dr.
Poonam Rawat, HOD, Law College Dehradun appreciated the efforts of the entire team and
pointed out that such campaigns must be held consistently.

On this day in 1969 National Service Scheme was formally launched and hence nationally 24th September is celebrated as NSS Day.
Being the part of NSS for three long years what I learnt is not only to serve the (cause of) society but also a sense of giving and learning. I learnt how the small tools like nukkad natak could inculcate microscopic ideas in society. Sampling and surveying could make it easy for policy makers and much more.
Thanks for teaching chhoti chhoti magar moti baatein.

आज नर्सो के बिना स्वस्थ और खुशहाल दुनिया की कल्पना भी असंभव है। आज के समय में फैली इस महामारी में भी इनका साथ और सेवा हमे इन सभी का सदियों सदियों तक ऋणी बनाए रखेगा। ये स्वस्थ विश्व की जीवनरेखा है। करुणा, दया और सेवा के पर्याय सभी नर्स भाई बहन को अंतरराष्ट्रीय नर्स दिवस पर विशेष अभिनंदन एवं प्रणाम समर्पित करता हूं। अपने त्याग व सतत सेवा से सबको अपना बना लेने वाली फ्लोरेंस नाइटिंगेल जी की स्मृति में यह अंतरराष्ट्रीय नर्स दिवस मनाया जाता है। विश्व के करोड़ों नर्स भाई बहन उनकी प्रेरणा से स्वस्थ देश-दुनिया के निर्माण में अपना योगदान दे रहे हैं। समस्त मानवता इनके योगदान के लिए सदैव ऋणी रहेगी।

हमारे यहाँ कहा गया है - "आर्योग्यम परंं भाग्यम् स्वास्थ्यं सर्वार्थ साधनं " अर्थात आरोग्य ही सबसे बड़ा भाग्य है। दुनिया में सभी सुख का साधन, स्वास्थ्य ही है।
प्रधानमंत्री जी के आह्वान को सफल बनाने में राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना की इकाई सफलतापूर्वक तय बातों को ज़न ज़न तक पहुंचाने मे कार्यरत हैं। कृपया नियमों का पालन करें तथा उपयोगी जानकारी इस प्रकार हैं :

* कोरोना संकट से फैले अंधकार को चुनौती देने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री ने नागरिकों से 5 अप्रैल को रात 9 बजे (9 मिनट तक) मोमबत्ती, टॉर्च या दीया जलाने का आग्रह किया है।

*कृपया घर पर रहें और लॉकडाउन और सामाजिक दूरी की सलाह का पालन करें ताकि आप स्वयं, परिवार और समुदाय को सुरक्षित रख सके।

नमस्कार,
आज राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना की इकाई, देश में फैली चिंताजनक महामारी (COVID-19) की गंभीरता को समझते हुए तथा भारत के माननीय प्रधानमंत्री के आज दिनांक 19 मार्च 2020 के आह्वान को सफल बनाने हेतु तथा माननीय द्वारा किए गए निवेदन को आप तक सफल पूर्वक पहुचाने की प्रयास करेगी और वे प्रमुख बाते निम्न हैं :-

1. इस रविवार यानी 22 मार्च 2020 को सुबह के 7 बजे से रात के 9 बजे तक सभी देशवासियों को, जनता कर्फ्यू का पालन करना हैं।
जनता कर्फ्यू का मतलब है, जनता के लिए जनता द्वारा खुद पर लगाया गया कर्फ्यू।

2. रविवार यानी जनता कर्फ्यू के दिन शाम को 5 बजे सभी देशवासियों से अनुरोध है कि हम अपने घर के दरवाजे पर खड़े होकर या खिड़कियों के सामने खड़े होकर पाँच मिनट तक देश में इस समय जरूरी सेवा पहुंचा रहे कर्मियों का धन्यवाद अदा करे। हम उनके प्रति अपनी कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करे।

3. इस वक़्त अस्पतालों में बेफिजुल की भीड़ ना बढ़े इस बात का भी ध्यान रखा जाना चाहिए ताकि हमारे अस्पतालों की व्यवस्थाओं को, हमारे डॉक्टरों को, हमारे अस्पतालों में काम कर रहे कर्मियों को इस महामारी को प्राथमिकता देने में सुविधा मिले।

इस महामारी का एक ही मंत्र है, हम स्वस्थ तो जग स्वस्थ।
भीड़ का हिस्सा बनने से बचे तथा घर से बाहर निकलने से भी बचे। अपना और अपनों का खूब ख्याल रखिए खास कर बुजुर्गों का।

A Donation Drive Campaign was Organized by NSS Volunteers of Uttaranchal University in collaboration with the Mamta Charitable Foundation on 25th February 2020.
The main objective of this campaign was to donate Old Clothes and Shoes to the children who were living in the poor condition and in need of them.
