We often hear of politicians in power making frequent “foreign trips”. The purpose of these trips remains unknown to the public that they are supposed to serve. Thus, these trips become secretive and their intentions seem doubtful.

We believe that any politician holding a post in the government must disclose the reason for their foreign trips to the public when these trips are made out of public funds. A failure to do so increases the chances of illegal practices at the cost of government funds. Leaks in the public exchequer that cause a diversion in the cause of public welfare must be put to an end.

We believe that political leaders must be transparent in their deeds in order to ensure more accountability. If you think that it is time to bring in measures to make the government more accountable, join us.

Corruption is the bane of development in our country. Putting an end to corruption at all levels of governance is vital to ensure that government policies actually reach and serve the people of our country.

Corruption is a prevalent practice in most government offices. We believe that every act of corruption in these offices is made possible by mute spectators working in the office who fail to report the crime. This may be out of fear, indifference or even marginal personal gains occurring from such transactions. To truly eradicate corruption there must be measures to make every employee of a government office responsible for acts of corruption in the office. It must be made mandatory for government employees to report incidents of corruption. They should not be allowed to stay mute spectators.

There must be the strictest of measures taken against people who indulge in corruption. But most importantly, the government must strive to create an atmosphere in government offices that makes corruption impossible. This can be possible only through instilling a sense of responsibility in every government employee. We believe that it is time to make governments more responsible, accountable and efficient. Do you? If so,

Mob violence and lynching have become quite prevalent in our country. Reckless use of muscle power to harm and even kill people is a serious blot on the spirit of law. We believe that mobocracy is the antithesis of a democratic society and it that it must have no place in our nation.

Governments must take strict measures and implement laws to ensure the prevention of mob rule and any violence by mobs must be actively punished. For this, there must be proper systems in place for evidence collection and identification of the perpetrators of such violence. When people are allowed to take law in their hands, it becomes the first step towards anarchy.

We believe that mob rule is an urgent problem that the government must take immediate steps to address. The principles of democracy, justice and peace must be upheld to ensure social development in the right direction. If you share our vision for a better India, join us

We believe that the spending of “taxpayers’ money” should not remain a vague and abstract notion. Rather it must be a fully transparent process that can be monitored by the public. Knowledge is power. We believe that it is in the true spirit of democracy to give people power by giving them access to knowledge about the government.e and vague estimation of government spending to a transparent and more accountable system.

Taxpayers must have access to a proper account of every rupee that the government spends. What we mean by this is not a tokenistic account that says that “x” amount of money was spent on education or health. Rather, the public must know the exact reason for spending. For example, the amount of money spent in a particular panchayat to give scholarship to students of particular schools. Accounting for taxpayers’ money must be extremely detailed, transparent and easily accessible so that any citizen of the country can question the government and hold it accountable. These accounts must be available at every level of governance.

We believe that the spending of “taxpayers’ money” should not remain a vague and abstract notion. Rather it must be a fully transparent process that can be monitored by the public. Knowledge is power. We believe that it is in the true spirit of a democracy to give people power by giving them access to knowledge about the government.

E-governance is an essential tool to bring in efficiency, speed and accessibility to the government’s functioning. However, even though we have multiple online portals for the various government services, the operation and management of these portals remain highly opaque, often causing inconvenience to the public.

Government portals are supposed to act as links between the government and citizens. In addition to providing all essential information on such portals, these portals must also be highly accountable. For example, in case of rejected online applications for government documents, the system is often highly opaque and arbitrary, with no reason for rejection provided to the applicant. Online portals must be as transparent as possible and citizens must have accessible means to get their grievance addressed via a two-way communication channel as opposed to the one-way channels we have today. These portals must also maintain records of every communication made on the portal.

The internet is indeed a powerful way for efficient and effective governance. But the government has to take efforts to make online governance free of corruption and as transparent as possible. Whether the government interacts with the citizen online or in person, there must be complete accountability. If you believe in a citizen-centric mode of governance, join us.

Sometimes, the smallest of issues create large harms. Mosquitos are one such issue that has not gotten enough attention. Mosquitos are one of the deadliest creatures on the planet that kill lakhs of people every year. By spreading diseases like malaria, dengue and countless other diseases, mosquitos are killers that reside in our very homes. Yet, it is often seen as a trivial problem not worthy of governments’ attention. Even when efforts are made towards eradicating mosquitos, most often these are not effective or like most government schemes, stay mired in corruption. As a result, mosquito-killing still remains a money minting process for big corporates.

We believe in solving problems that affect the ordinary citizen, however big or small the problem may be. In the case of mosquitos, the government must have a systematic approach to ensure a complete eradication harmful vector carrying mosquitos. There is no dearth of technologies to tackle the problem. All that the government has to do is to bring in strict implementation. With the combination of governmental action and cooperation of citizens, we believe that it is possible to ensure that no one in the country becomes prey to mosquitos.

If you believe that great progress and development is made by small effective changes, join us.

As Indians, we often display our love for sports. However, India’s achievements in sports do not live up to our citizen’s real potential. Adequate sports infrastructure and a positive attitude towards pursuing sports are essential to our country’s performance globally. Further, actively encouraging sports in our education system is important in order to make education contribute more fully to an individual’s holistic development.

The government must take concrete steps to increase the quality of sports in the country. This includes providing basic sports facilities in all panchayats and ensuring proper management of these facilities by local bodies. There must also be efforts to accommodate different kinds of sports and not restrict it to conventional and more popular sports. All educational institutions must make sports mandatory and the subject must be treated at par with other academic subjects. Most importantly, there must be adequate mechanisms to identify and nurture talent in sports at the school level.

We believe that a healthy sporting culture must be created in India. Existing sportspersons must have proper facilities to practice and perform, while budding talent must get due recognition and opportunities to improve their performance. We believe in better opportunities for everyone, in every field. If you do too, support us

We believe in complete digitisation of all financial transactions and an eradication of paper currency in India. Paper currency is one of the reasons for opaque and unaccounted transactions in the economy. It also has the risk of being counterfeited. The best solution is to completely eradicate paper money and replace it with highly effective and accessible systems of digital payments and receipts.

The government must ensure a smooth transition from paper currency to digital platforms. The primary step to do so is to ensure that each and every citizen of India has the means and knowledge to conduct digital transactions. In the absence of this, the government should take an active role to provide people with the same. Secondly, the government must make sure that that all digital transactions are safe, convenient and have hundred per cent success rates. Only after making such a strong framework for efficient digital transactions should the government go ahead and completely eradicate paper currency.

Digitisation of transactions is a necessary step to be undertaken in order to ensure higher accountability in all monetary transactions. This will also help to eradicate corruption as all transactions will be accounted for. It is a possible goal to achieve with well- planned and systematic ex*****on. We need your support for our vision of a developed India. Join us.

In India, public spaces like roads, train and bus stations, markets and places of worship often have a number of people either begging for subsistence or trying to hawk sundry objects like pens, toys, books and so on. Often, these are children forced into such a profession. We believe that this practice must be completely eradicated and that these people must be provided with a better quality of living.

There must be targeted welfare mechanisms for this section of our population. They must be given basic amenities like proper places to live and access to healthcare. Meanwhile, children must compulsorily be provided with basic education. This is a section of the population that has been largely forgotten by governments in the past. Until the 2018 ruling by the Delhi High Court, begging was mostly considered a crime in India under the Prevention of Begging Act, 1959, which had treated a vulnerable section of the population as criminals.

It is the duty of the government to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens. If you feel that these innocent people, especially children, deserve a better life, join us.

Land is one of the most important resources for our survival, but it is a limited resource in our country. With the rising population in our country, land distribution is becoming more and more unequal day by day. We believe that every citizen of the country has a right to reasonable access to land. There must be a more equitable distribution of land in order to achieve development and welfare for all sections of the society. Today, there are people who own large tracts of land as investment or inheritance, while there are others who don't even have a home to call their own.

The government must implement strict limits on the measure of land that individuals and organisations can own. Similarly, all government projects must make use of the latest technologies to minimize land usage. There must also be active efforts towards sustainable land usage patterns across sectors and encouragement for practices that minimise land usage, say, vertical farming practices to increase yield per unit of land. It is high time that India initiates land reforms that encompass the distribution and usage of land and incorporates the role of technology in doing so.

What we need in India right now are strong measures to ensure equitable and sustainable development in the long run. If you feel that it is time for that change, join us.

The rule of law is the keystone of any democracy. It must not be compromised in any case. However, today there is a widespread violation of this principle that happens in various institutions across the country in the form of “recommendations”. Influential people like political or religious leaders, bureaucrats and popular personalities often give out recommendation letters to help people to get things done at various government offices get out of legal crises, secure jobs or even get admissions into educational institutions. As a result, people with “contacts” always get better opportunities. This is a gross violation of the principle of equality.

Such recommendations must be outlawed. No one must be allowed to use their power and status in society to favour another citizen. Law must treat everyone equally without exceptions. All public institutions must provide the same services in the same manner to everyone irrespective of their social background. Similarly, educational institutions too must be barred from giving recommendation-based admissions. We believe that any interference in an ideally impartial system is outrageous and worthy of punishment.

To bring in real equality into our country, citizens must let go of their sense of entitlement due to the power and influence they hold in society. The system of recommendations is a sign of normalised inequality in India. It has no place in a true democracy. Join us to support our cause.

Our country has vast amounts of under-utilised resources. One obvious example is the large tracts of unutilised lands held by governments. These resources have the potential to be diverted to better uses towards India’s development. What the government needs to do is to formulate and implement action plans to channelize these resources into their best uses.

The government must become more active in its efforts to work for the people’s welfare. There are multiple instances where the government confiscates assets from offenders. Currently, these assets are wasted away without being used by anyone. There must be proper systems to best divert these resources towards public welfare.

We believe that the government machinery must work with utmost efficiency and effectiveness. There must be no room for underutilisation or misuse of any resource, be it financial resources, natural resources or even manpower in the form of government employees. The government must always work at its full potential.

Join us if you believe in the efficient functioning of the government.
