The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) held a comprehensive review meeting with Punjab & Sind Bank at New Delhi under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chairman, NCSC, Shri Kishor Makwana. The meeting was attended by Hon’ble Members Shri Love Kush Kumar, Shri Vaddepalli Ramchander, and Dr. Partha Biswas. Secretary, NCSC, Shri Gudey Srinivas, along with other senior officers of the Commission, were also present during the meeting.
Representing Punjab & Sind Bank, Managing Director & CEO Shri Swarup Kumar Saha, along with other senior officials of the Bank, participated in the review proceedings.
Prior to the review meeting, the NCSC delegation held a separate interaction with the SC/ST Staff Welfare Association of Punjab & Sind Bank to hear and understand their concerns and grievances. The Commission assured the Association that the issues raised by them would be appropriately taken up with the Bank management during the course of the review meeting.
The meeting primarily focused on the implementation of the reservation policy and the progress of various self-employment and income generation schemes aimed at the welfare and socio-economic development of Scheduled Castes in Punjab & Sind Bank. Various matters concerning representation, welfare measures, promotional avenues, and effective implementation of government policies and guidelines relating to Scheduled Castes were also discussed in detail. Dr. Patha Biswas, Hon’ble Member, National Commission for Scheduled Castes, met with Shri Manik Saha, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura. During the meeting, both dignitaries held discussions on various matters concerning the welfare and development of Scheduled Castes in the state. The discussion focused on key issues, including the effective implementation of ongoing welfare schemes, timely redressal of grievances, and further strengthening of initiatives aimed at the socio-economic empowerment of the Scheduled Caste community in Tripura.

राष्ट्रीय_अनुसूचित_जाति_आयोग (भारत सरकार) के माननीय अध्यक्ष श्री किशोर मकवाणा ने आयोग के नई दिल्ली मुख्यालय में अनुसूचित जाति के लोगों की शिकायतें सुनी । शिकायतों के त्वरित निवारण हेतु संबंधित अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए।

राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जाति आयोग के माननीय सदस्य श्री लवकुश कुमार जी ने सिवान (बिहार)जिले के अधिकारियों के साथ जिला स्तरीय समीक्षा बैठक की। बैठक में जिले के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।
सदस्य महोदय ने अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया कि अनुसूचित जाति से सम्बन्धित मामलों में त्वरित कार्यवाही कर मामले का समाधान किया जाए जिससे अनुसूचित जाति के लोगों को न्याय मिल सके।

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) conducted a comprehensive review meeting with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) at New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Hon’ble Chairman, NCSC, Kishor Makwana, in the presence of Hon’ble Members Love Kush Kumar, Vaddepalli Ramchander and Partha Biswas. Secretary, NCSC, Gudey Srinivas, along with other senior officers of the Commission, also attended the meeting.
From HPCL, Chairman & Managing Director Vikas Kaushal along with senior officials participated in the review meeting.

The Commission assured the association that the issues raised by them would be taken up with the HPCL management during the review meeting.
The review meeting focused on several important issues, including the implementation of reservation policy in recruitment and promotions, welfare measures for SC employees, and effective implementation of schemes related to self-employment, income generation, and socio-economic development of Scheduled Castes. Discussions were also held regarding increasing participation of Scheduled Castes in HPCL dealership allocations, including LPG distributorships, petrol pump dealerships, and CNG outlet dealerships, to ensure greater economic empowerment and inclusive growth for the SC community.

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes has taken cognizance of the use of casteist words in the official list prepared for the upcoming Census operations and has issued a notice in this regard to the Director, Census Operations, Punjab and the Principal Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of Punjab. Both departments have been directed to submit a detailed Action Taken Report within 15 days.
