NCRTC organised an informative session on TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan at its Corporate Office GatiShakti Bhawan, reaffirming its commitment towards employee well-being and public health awareness.

The session was conducted by Dr. Manisha Madan, Medical Officer, NCRTC, who sensitised employees about the vision and significance of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan — a flagship initiative launched by the Government of India to eliminate Tuberculosis (TB) from India by 2025, five years ahead of the global Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target of 2030. The campaign brings together communities, corporations, and civil society to provide comprehensive care and eliminate the social stigma associated with the disease.

Employees were made aware about TB symptoms, treatment duration, modern diagnostic pathways, and preventive measures. The interactive session highlighted the importance of early detection, awareness, and collective action in achieving the vision of a TB-free India.

At NCRTC, we believe that informed and healthy workplaces are essential for building a stronger and more resilient nation.

On Menstrual Hygiene Day, NCRTC organised a two-day awareness drive on 27 and 28th May at Sarai Kale Khan and Begumpul Namo Bharat stations to promote awareness on menstrual health and hygiene among women commuters. The initiative focused on encouraging informed conversations around menstrual wellbeing and creating greater awareness about safe menstrual hygiene practices in public spaces.

The awareness campaign was conducted in association with NCRTC’s Operations and Maintenance partner, DB RRTS Operations India Private Limited. As part of the drive, dedicated outreach activities were organised at stations as well as inside the women coach of Namo Bharat trains. Menstrual hygiene kits containing sanitary pads, period trackers and awareness material were also distributed among women commuters during the programme.

The initiative received encouraging participation from women commuters, many of whom appreciated the effort to bring conversations around menstrual hygiene into public spaces such as stations and trains.
