Dr. Ambedkar Foundation organised a solemn floral tribute on the occasion of the 136th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar at Prerna Sthal.

The tribute was led by Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha Shri Om Birla, and Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

HMSJE & Chairman, Dr. Ambedkar Foundation Dr. Virendra Kumar, along with Hon’ble Ministers of State of SJ&E, Shri Ramdas Athawale and Shri B. L. Verma, and other distinguished dignitaries also paid their respects.

On this day, the nation remembers Babasaheb as the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution and reaffirms its commitment to his ideals of social justice, equality, and empowerment for all.

Dr. Ambedkar Foundation organised a Commemorative Programme on the occasion of the 200th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule at BHIM Hall, Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), New Delhi.

The programme was held under the Chief Guestship of Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment and Chairman, Dr. Ambedkar Foundation.

The event was graced by Shri Sudhansh Pant, Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment; Ms. V. Vidyavathi, Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities; Shri Shailendra Kumar, Member Secretary, DAF & Joint Secretary, D/o SJE; Prof. S. K. Chalal, Chair Professor, Kurukshetra University; and Shri Kumar Nityanand, Director, DAF, along with officers and officials of DAF and D/o SJE.

In his address, the Hon’ble Minister highlighted the path-breaking contributions of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and emphasized that the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment continues to follow his vision of an inclusive and equitable society.

A short film produced by the Ministry of Culture India on Mahatma Jyotiba Phule was showcased to mark the occasion.

The tribute ceremony was led by Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha Shri Om Birla, along with Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment and Chairman, Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, and other distinguished dignitaries.

The nation paid tribute to the remarkable contributions of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule towards social reform, empowerment of marginalized communities, and promotion of education and equality.

The Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF) convened its Governing Body and General Body Meetings on 28th March 2026 under the Chairmanship of Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment and Chairman, DAF.
During the meetings, a comprehensive overview of the Foundation’s schemes and initiatives was presented. Discussions focused on strengthening implementation and ensuring wider outreach at the grassroots level.

Session-III of the Samvidhan@75 “National Conference” marked the arrival of Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment & Chairman, DAF. Smt. C.K. Deshmukh introduced the concept of the Unified D/o SJE Digital Portal, followed by remarks from Shri Amit Yadav on its transformative scope. Dr. Virendra Kumar officially inaugurated Phase-I of the Unified Portal, dedicating it to the nation for advancing empowerment and accessibility. A short NeGD-developed video and a documentary on “The Living Constitution” showcased the remarkable journey, legacy and spirit of the Indian Constitution. In his address, Dr. Virendra Kumar reflected on Samvidhan@75, recalling the vision, resilience and enduring contribution of Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

The National Conference concluded with the felicitation of the dais by Sh. V. Appa Rao and Sh. Manoj Tiwari, followed by the National Anthem — a proud and reflective moment honouring our constitutional journey.

Dr. Ambedkar Foundation organised the National Conference on The Living Constitution on 26 November 2025 at Bhim Hall, DAIC, marking the culmination of the year-long celebration of Samvidhan@75, honouring 75 years of the adoption of the Indian Constitution.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Justice B.R. Gavai, former Chief Justice of India (Chief Guest), along with Shri Amit Yadav (Secretary, D/o SJE), Smt. C.K. Deshmukh (Addl. Secretary, D/o SJE), Shri V. Appa Rao (Member Secretary, DAF), Shri Manoj Tiwari (Director, DAF) and other dignitaries. The Conference began with the lamp-lighting ceremony and Preamble Oath recital led by Hon’ble Justice B.R. Gavai, reaffirming our shared commitment to constitutional values. This was followed by the welcome address from Shri V. Appa Rao, highlighting the importance of Samvidhan@75, and a keynote by Shri Amit Yadav reflecting on the Constitution’s role in Social Justice & Empowerment. Hon’ble Justice B.R. Gavai further in his thoughtful and impactful address, emphasised the timeless vision of the Constitution and the responsibility of every citizen to uphold its guiding principles.

The inaugural session concluded with the release of the book "One India Through Digital India", followed by a group photograph symbolising collective commitment towards a strong, inclusive and developed Viksit Bharat @2047. The Conference progressed with two panel discussions — Panel I on Democracy, Dignity & Development in the 21st Century, and Panel II on Constitutional Pathways to Social Justice & Inclusive Development – realising Dr. Ambedkar’s vision in contemporary India. An interactive open quiz actively engaged the audience.

The Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, is organising a prestigious National Conference on 26th November 2025 at Bhim Hall, Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), New Delhi.
This event marks the grand finale of the nationwide year-long commemoration of 75 Years of the Adoption of the Constitution of India – Samvidhan@75.
