The Atal Pension Yojana (APY) Annual Felicitation Programme was successfully held on 20th May 2026 in New Delhi.

The programme was graced by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, as the Chief Guest. The event witnessed the presence of Shri S. Ramann, Chairperson, PFRDA, Ms. Mamta Shankar, Member (Economics), Shri Sanjay Pandey, Member (Finance), Shri Samir Kumar, Economic Adviser, Ms. Sumeet Kaur Kapoor, Executive Director, PFRDA along with MD & CEOs, senior officials from Public Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks, Private Banks, Cooperative Banks, SLBCs, and representatives from the Department of Financial Services and the banking fraternity.

The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Mamta Shankar, Member (Economics), followed by the Chairperson’s address by Shri S. Ramann. The keynote address by Shri M. Nagaraju acknowledged the collective efforts of PFRDA and banking partners in expanding the reach of APY across the country. During the programme, a new APY video was also launched by the Chief Guest.

An insightful presentation on APY and its progress was delivered by Shri Pravesh Kumar, CGM & Head - Financial Inclusion (APY).

The event also featured an award presentation ceremony recognising Public Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks, Private Banks, Cooperative Banks, and SLBCs for achieving their annual targets during FY 2025–26. Awards were additionally presented to the top 5 Lead District Managers (LDMs) and top 5 branches across the country for their exceptional contribution towards APY enrolments. State Bank of India received a special recognition for achieving the milestone of 2 crore gross enrolments under APY since inception.

A dedicated session on successful strategies and the future roadmap of APY was conducted by Shri Ruby Vinayak Bhaosagar, AGM, where senior bankers and SLBC convenors shared valuable experiences and best practices from the field.

The programme was anchored by Ms. Shivika Singhal, AGM, and Shri Ajay Kumar Podishetty, AM, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Sudhir Singh, DGM.

He also congratulated the banks for their performance and acknowledged the significant milestone of achieving 9 crore subscribers under APY.

He further expressed gratitude to the Department of Financial Services (DFS) for its continued support in strengthening and expanding the reach of APY across the country.
