PHDCCI Direct Taxes Committee had the privilege of hosting the Income Tax Department team comprising of Dr. Prashant Shukla, Addl Director of I/Tax(Inv.), Mr. KK Mishra, Addl Director -FAIU, Mr. Saurabh Anand, Addl Director -FAIU, Ms. Khushvi Gandhi Addl Director - FAIU at PHD House, New Delhi, for an Interactive Session on FAST-DS Outreach – Foreign Assets of Small Taxpayers (Disclosure Scheme), 2026 on 3rd Nov 2026.
Mr. Mukul Bagla, Chair, Direct Tax Committee PHDCCI in his welcome remarks thanked the Income Tax Department team for their presence and welcomed all the delegates to the interactive session. He emphasised the importance of creating awareness and sharing knowledge about the FAST-DS Outreach (Foreign Assets of Small Taxpayers – Disclosure Scheme), 2026. He also highlighted some key challenges and raised important questions related to the scheme during the session.
Mr. Prashant Shukla, Addl Director FAIU Chaired the session. The Income Tax Department team delivered a presentation on the FAST-DS Outreach (Foreign Assets of Small Taxpayers – Disclosure Scheme), 2026, explaining its key provisions and addressing queries from the delegates. This scheme is highly beneficial for taxpayers who have inadvertently failed to disclose or declare their foreign assets.
He also appreciated the efforts of PHDCCI in organising the session and requested the Chamber to share the key challenges and suggestions discussed during the session for further consideration and incorporation.
