​Seeing our youngest stars dive headfirst into the world of stories was incredible. We didn't just play games today,we used creative arts, movement, and theatre tools to unlock a whole new level of expression.

​Why this matters beyond the stage:
People often ask how drama helps with school. On Day 1 alone, we saw children building the focus they need for the classroom, the communication skills required for group projects, and the confidence to stand tall and speak their mind. This is holistic development in its purest, most joyful form!

Day 9 & 10 — Integration → Showcase

“I know myself.”
Do you… under pressure?

We tested it.

5 strengths + 5 weaknesses.
10 seconds.

Some kept talking.
Some only listened.
Balance was rare.

That was the first crack.

Then students built everything from scratch,
story, roles, hosting, music, design. No instructions.

Day 10: same stage.
But they didn’t “perform”- they owned the space.

What changed:
– less self-doubt
– more ease
– real confidence

You could see the journey:
from awareness → to application → to presence.

🎭 Not just skill.
A shift in identity.

👉 One strength + one weakness (no overthinking)

Day 8 — Being Human
Before being “good”…
how do you respond as a human?

We replayed real situations—conflicts, traffic, friendships.
Same scene. Different reactions.

Then tried again—with empathy.
Tone changed. Outcomes changed.

🎭 Theatre became a mirror.

👉 Last conflict—reacted or responded?

A newspaper became a superhero cape.
A plastic bottle became a microphone.
A shy child became the loudest storyteller in the room ✨

At the Summer Creative Drama Camp at The Oriental School, children didn’t just “participate” in activities — they built worlds out of imagination.

One moment they were creating superhero costumes from newspapers .
The next moment they were performing scenes about friendship, courage, kindness, and belonging.

Through object play and theatre improvisations, children explored what inclusiveness actually feels like:
listening when someone else is speaking
respecting differences
making space for quieter voices
insuring nobody feels left out

And somewhere between all the laughter, chaos, storytelling, and teamwork… confidence quietly began to grow .

Because theatre is never only about performance.

It is about giving children a safe space to express, imagine, collaborate, and discover parts of themselves they didn’t know existed ✨

Day 7 — Vision, Goals & Mindset
“I want to do something big.”
But what exactly?

Vision boards + a city-design challenge.
They had to think systems, people, long-term impact.

Then came feedback.
Plans changed. Clarity improved.

Shift:
Vision isn’t dreaming. It’s refining under pressure.

Day 6 — Leadership & Team Collaboration
“We need a leader.”
Or someone to take responsibility?

No roles assigned.

Groups argued, froze, then adapted.
Someone stepped up quietly. Someone chose to listen.
Someone adjusted for the team.

Leadership showed up in action, not titles.
