Planning Department is undertaking the Socio-Economic Survey for collection of basic data in respect of household and each resident of Delhi on various Socio-Economic parameters like education, health, income employment etc. The data will be used exclusively for future planning keeping in view the anticipated requirements of citizen of Delhi.
Therefore, kindly give complete and correct information about the household and individual family members and be partner with Delhi Government in this planning exercise.

The National Statistics Day is being observed every year on
29th June to create public awareness among people about the importance of "Statistics" in daily life and in the process of planning and development.
It is celebrated annually on the occasion of birth anniversary of India’s eminent statistician Late Prof. Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis, founder of Indian Statistical Institute(ISI)-Kolkata (The Institute of National importance). It also commemorates the contributions made by Prof. PC Mahalanobis in the fields of statistics, economics and planning.

The Planning Department is responsible for preparation of Five Year Plan and Annual Plans of NCT of Delhi for the subjects within the jurisdiction of Govt. of NCT of Delhi. This involves: (i)estimation of resources for financing of Annual Plans & Five Year Plan, (ii) preparation, monitoring and evaluation of Five Year Plan/Annual Plans. The implementation of the respective plans is carried out by different departments of GNCTD, Local Bodies and Autonomous Organizations under Government of Delhi. The Planning Department has also the responsibility of management of of Govt. of Delhi.
