A Step towards Innovation with DIET Karkardooma DIET Centre came into existence under the centrally sponsored scheme of MHRD and are functioning under the administrative school of SCERT, Govt.

of NCT of Delhi. To provide academic and resource support at the grass-roots Level for the success of the various strategies and programmers being Undertaken in the area of elementary and adult education.

23–24 जुलाई को डायट करकड़डूमा के प्रांगण में प्रथम वर्ष के विद्यार्थियों के लिए दो दिवसीय फर्स्ट एड कार्यशाला का सफल आयोजन किया गया। कार्यशाला में विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया तथा प्राथमिक उपचार के सैद्धांतिक एवं व्यावहारिक दोनों पहलुओं का प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त किया।

कार्यशाला के दौरान घाव एवं चोट लगने की स्थिति में विभिन्न प्रकार की पट्टियों (Bandaging Techniques) के सही उपयोग, आपातकालीन स्थिति में 108/112 एंबुलेंस सेवा को प्रभावी ढंग से कॉल करने की प्रक्रिया, घायल अथवा मरीज को सुरक्षित तरीके से अस्पताल तक पहुँचाने के उपाय, प्राथमिक उपचार के दौरान बरती जाने वाली सावधानियाँ तथा जीवनरक्षक प्राथमिक सहायता (First Aid) के विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण पहलुओं पर विस्तार से जानकारी दी गई। विद्यार्थियों को व्यावहारिक प्रदर्शन के माध्यम से इन तकनीकों का अभ्यास भी कराया गया।

समापन अवसर पर डायट करकड़डूमा के प्राचार्य डॉ. बी. के. पाल ने सभी प्रतिभागियों एवं रिसोर्स पर्सन्स का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि आज के समय में प्रत्येक विद्यार्थी के पास फर्स्ट एड का ज्ञान होना अत्यंत आवश्यक है। उन्होंने कहा कि सही समय पर दिया गया प्राथमिक उपचार किसी भी घायल या मरीज का जीवन बचाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकता है।

इस कार्यशाला के सफल संचालन में डॉ. रूबी मलिक एवं श्री कुलदीप श्योकंद ने समन्वयक (कोऑर्डिनेटर) के रूप में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।

✨ Two-Day Workshop on “Use of Assistive Technology in Education” ✨

A two-day workshop was successfully conducted on 28–29 July 2026 at DIET Karkardooma, focusing on strengthening digital skills and promoting inclusive, innovative and technology-enabled teaching-learning.

Facilitated by Mr. Deepak Kumar and Mr. Chandan Jha, the workshop provided hands-on exposure to Google Workspace, Canva, Wayground and MagicSchool AI, enabling participants to explore interactive assessments, lesson planning, presentations, worksheets and engaging learning resources.

🤖 The sessions highlighted the meaningful use of AI and assistive technology to make education more inclusive, collaborative, learner-centred and engaging, while also emphasising mindfulness, well-being and holistic development.

Under the guidance of DIET Principal Dr. B. K. Pal, a two-day DIKSHA Orientation Programme was successfully conducted for D.El.Ed. 1st & 2nd Year student teachers.

Led by Dr. Laxmi Pandey (Nodal In-charge, DIKSHA) and Dr. Preeti Sharma (Coordinator, DIKSHA), the sessions introduced student teachers to the DIKSHA platform, mobile app, digital learning resources, and curriculum-based courses. Hands-on practice enabled participants to confidently explore and use DIKSHA for classroom teaching and self-learning.

DIET Karkardooma successfully organized a Research Colloquium on Mixed Methods Research, featuring distinguished academician Prof. Gyanendra Nath Tiwari of Nagaland University as the guest speaker.
The session was highly engaging and immensely enriching for the faculty members. The hands-on practice component was particularly appreciated, providing participants with practical insights into the application of mixed methods research in educational studies.
On the occasion, Principal Dr. B. K. Pal felicitated Prof. Tiwari with a shawl and a plant as a token of gratitude and respect for his valuable contribution.

🍳✨ Science Meets Cooking at DIET Karkardooma! ✨🍞
A four-day workshop on “Science of Cooking and Baking” was conducted at DIET Karkardooma from 19–22 May 2026 for D.El.Ed. Second Year Student Teachers under the guidance of Dr. B. K. Pal, Principal.
The workshop transformed the kitchen into a laboratory, helping student teachers understand scientific concepts through cooking and baking activities. It promoted creativity, teamwork, life skills, and scientific aptitude while introducing career opportunities in the field.
Coordinated by Ms. Manisha, Mr. Praveen Kumar, and Ms. Sneh Lata, with expert support from Ms. Nidhi Phogat and Chef Smith Gupta, the workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from 105 student teachers.

DIET Karkardooma organized the live viewing of Pariksha Pe Charcha today, 09 February 2026, for students, faculty, and staff members. To ensure a smooth and comfortable experience, viewing arrangements were made in five rooms across the institute.
During the interaction, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of stress-free examinations and highlighted the role of life skills alongside academic learning for holistic personality development.
