BRICS Business Council was established during the Fifth BRICS Summit in Durban. FICCI is the designated nodal agency & technical secretariat for BRICS

India will host the 8th BRICS Summit during its Chairmanship in 2016. The theme of India’s BRICS Chairmanship is Building Responsive, Inclusive and Collective Solutions. The focus during India’s BRICS Chairmanship will be on enhanced people-to-people (P2P) contacts of BRICS member states, especially youth. For this, India has planned activities like U-17 Football Tournament, Youth Summit, Film Festival, Friendship Cities Conclave, Young Diplomats’ Forum, etc.
