DCPCR, with the Tadkeshwar Lok Kala Manch Foundation, addressed substance abuse among the underprivileged children in North West distt, in a workshop to empower these young minds with knowledge, creativity, and the confidence to make positive choices.

Young participants displayed their skills in the engaging activities conducted for children under 8, memory assessment with a fun Q&A session, and expressed creativity in an enthusiastic drawing competition.

Member , championing the cause of safety and inclusivity, attended a seminar on Prevention of S*xual Harassment and Anti-Ragging organized by the University School of Management & Entrepreneurship . Instead of demeaning others, she encouraged fostering a supportive environment, rejecting ragging as a cruel practice and promoting healthy relationships within the campus and also warned about the serious consequences of ragging. Further, Member emphasized the importance of refraining from any form of harassment and urged individuals to speak up against it. Stressing the need for mutual respect regardless of gender, she highlighted the value of embracing diversity.

Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders: A Vital Legal Awareness Workshop Unraveling the Web of Child Rights Legislation'

This transformative session aimed to equip students with a profound understanding of the core legal pillars safeguarding the rights of children. As these eager minds delved into the intricacies of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, Protection of Children from S*xual Offences (Amendment) Act, 2019, Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, and The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 they embarked on a journey that transcends textbooks and syllabi.

Ms. , Member addressed the young student's queries to set the context on the importance of legal awareness. By empowering students of Delhi Govt. schools with legal knowledge, with help of the expert resource persons, Mr. Shashank Shekhar, Ms. Parvati Chandran and Mrs. Charu Makkar from , the aim is to train them to be informed, active, and responsible members of society.

S*x education is not just teaching abt the mechanics of s*x, but also about promoting healthy relationships and communication skills. It is important to teach young people how to communicate their boundaries and desires in a respectful and consensual manner'manner'

Ms Member DCPCR, joined a state-level consultation ,arranged by Neev Foundation, Delhi FORCES (Forum for Creches and Early Childcare Services) Network. A group of 40 different NGOs discussing the various issue of Child safety & early childcare and development.

The consultation highlighted the lack of facilities for children of workers in the unorganised sector who bear the brunt lacking care when both parents are at work affecting their physical and mental development.

The discussion wrapped up on a positive note with proposed solutions for effective Anganwadi implementation:

establishing creche facilities for children aged 0-6, conducting health checkups, and ensuring essential quality childcare services

The National Deworming Campaign at Anganwadi centers across Delhi is making a big difference, where children are receiving deworming tablets under parental supervision.

Parents are well-informed and understand the importance of deworming for their child's health.
