International Gurjar Day is celebrated by Gurjar Community across the world on 22 March. He started a new era known as the Shaka era.
On this day Kanishka ( The ancestor of modern gurjars ) ascended the throne in 78 AD to commemorate his coronation day.

22 March 2013 : First ever International Gurjar Day being celebrated @ Bhagwan Devnarayan Mandir, Ayurvigyan Nagar, Delhi.

A small but a great start of the very Ist International Gurjar Day at Bhagwan Devnarayan Mandir. One more positive step in the right direction and a successful event organized by Gurjar Pariwar and Gurjar Pratihar and many other Gurjar Wlefare Associations. Special thanks to Ram Kailash Gurjar bhai. The presence of honorary members like Kps Gurjar ji, Khursheed Bhati ji, Sushil Bhati ji(who actually conceived this wonderful idea),Raj Basatta ji, Surinder Khari ji(big brother), Bittoo Kasana ji(big brother-2),Piyush Baisla ji(a big helping hand), Hari Chand Bhadana ji(always a nice experience to listen to him),Mohit Tomar ji, Mr. Mavai ji (Ex. Director Horticulture-NDMC) and his wife, Virender Kasana ji, Rajiv Mavi ji, Yogesh Dedha ji( a real youth icon),Prashan gurjar ji, Rahul CHaudhary ji, Rakesh Nagar ji(jeeja ji) Dr. Singh(from JNU),NDG Patil ji, Sadik Chaudhary ji(who couldnt come but sent his wishes for everyone) and the one man army, Amit Dedha (he is the real man behind this event) and Ram Kailash Gurjar ji, very kind and very helpful person.
