"An act of charity is an act of justice."

Team Virangana, the Women Development Cell of Dyal Singh College, strives to bring attention towards one of the most neglected yet pertinent issue—that of menstrual hygiene. To help support Project Udaan, we will be beginning a Collection Drive, wherein we urge you all to make monetary contribution towards this noble initiative, aiming to enable the underprivileged menstruators to fight against period poverty, and to lead a life of dignity. Your contribution will be used to provide sanitary pads and other hygiene kits to the menstruators in need.

Contributions can be made both in online mode as well as in offline mode through QR codes and Donation Box, respectively.

Team Virangana truly believes that your contribution would be small but a significant step towards women's health!

"Awareness of ignorance is the beginning of wisdom. "
~ Socrates

Under Project UDAAN, we at Virangana embarked on a mission to educate and empower young minds while addressing critical societal issues. 🌟

Day 1 began with a Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive and awareness sessions at Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya, Lodhi Colony, where we taught nursery and primary kids about Good Touch, Bad Touch and Gender Roles. Simplifying these topics for such young learners was challenging but immensely fulfilling.

Day 2 focused on R**e Culture Awareness with 8th-grade students. We discussed issues like victim blaming, Bollywood’s romanticization of non-consent, and actionable steps to prevent violence. Their maturity and pledge to fight against such injustice were truly inspiring.

These two impactful days reaffirmed our belief in the power of education to create change.

Here are some moments of change captured in these frames! Together, let’s build a safer and more equal world. 💪

Patriarchy has stolen our cosmos and returned it in the form of 'Cosmopolitan' magazine and cosmetics.

KAMAKHYA'24, the annual fest of VIRANGANA, the Women Development Cell of Dyal Singh College, was organised on April 15, 2024.
The event began with a panel discussion on the topic Invest in Women: Accelerate Process and continued with some amazing competitions like PARIHAAS: The Comic Strip Competition, PAHELI: The Treasure Hunt, and JASN-E-TRENDS: The Fashion Show, along with an amazing blend of melodious songs, energetic dances, and a mind-blowing skit. These performances added a charm to the event and were the cherry on top.

The event was coordinated in a way that challenged the patriarchal ideology of our society and its success was the outcome of the diligence of the whole VIRANGANA family.🌼
