5 best places to visit in north campus:
The North campus in DU is lively and beautiful. Some of the landmark's that every student loves are:
1) VC lawn: It is the Vice Chancellor's office having big beautiful lawns with lots of greenery, statues of Gandi, Nehru, Buddha. Often students visit to walk around, sit and study and also one might see the student groups practising for drama or music. It is decorated every year for the Foundation Day on 1st May. The office is also a lavish building with beautiful architecture. A must visit indeed.
2) Kamla Nehru Ridge: It is the northern extention of the Aravalli that is a hangout for most students of the university situated right in front of VC office area. It is a long stretch with greenery and various monuments. This place is used by students and other residentials of the area as a park for group exercises, running, jogging or walking. It also attracts students due to the monuments inside.
3) Patel Chest: It is a students hub which every student must have visited. It has all the essentials for a student, photocopy shops, eating joints, stationary. A complete market for the students especially crowded for photocopy when the exams approach. It is an asset for students in the University area.
4) Kamla Nagar: A shopping hub for the students with all the brands and stores to fulfill the requirements of the students. It also has eating joints and famous for momos and other mouth watering snacks that student group visit for. A huge market area as a blessing for the students.
5) Majnu ka Tilla: The Tibetan refugee society which has a small beautiful market and eating joints for Korean , Chinese and Tibetan specialities along with Coffee houses. Often students are found partying or eating out at the place. It has variety of tibetian acfessiories, eatables , dresses and other outlets that attracts the students.
