Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA), a Miniratna-I company, formerly known as Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO), is a wholly owned Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, bearing responsibility of operating India’s Electricity Grid through the National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) and five (5) Regional Load Despatch Centres (RLDCs) ensuring power within and across the regions and trans-national exchange of power with reliability, security, resilience and sustainability, ultimately reaching to over 1.4 billion consumers.

As part of Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) Campaign 2026 and on the occasion of , GRID-INDIA, WRLDC, Mumbai, organized a Cleanliness Drive at Powai Lake, Mumbai, on 27.09.2026 to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness.

GRID-INDIA successfully concluded its 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 22.09.2026 through hybrid mode from its Registered Office in New Delhi (Deemed Venue), bringing together key stakeholders to reflect the Corporation’s performance and priorities.

The meeting was chaired by Sh. S. C. Saxena, CMD, GRID-INDIA and attended by all the Directors on the Board of the company & CFO, Government Nominee Directors, Independent Director, Company Secretary, representative from the Ministry of Power and Statutory & Secretarial Auditors.

Sh. S. C. Saxena, CMD; Sh. Amit Kumar Jain, Director (Finance) and six officials from GRID-INDIA participated in CIGRE Paris Session 2026. Eight technical papers were accepted across four Study Committees, with participation in presentations, workshops, tutorials and discussions.

CMD, GRID-INDIA, was a panellist at the CIGRE Paris Session 2026 CEO Forum on “Energy Regulation and Energy Transition”. He highlighted transmission as an enabler of energy transition and stressed grid strength, flexibility, resilience and innovative access mechanisms.

Sh. Amit Kumar Jain, Director (Finance), GRID-INDIA, presented the paper titled “Monetization through Securitization of Cash Flows as an Innovative Financing Mechanism for Development of Infrastructure Projects in India”, highlighting a scalable and replicable approach.

Sh. Vivek Pandey, CGM (SO), NLDC was the Special Reporter for Study Committee C2 and a presenter in the Large Disturbance Workshop. He was honoured with the CIGRE Technical Council Award 2026 for his contributions in Study committee C2 on power system operation and control.

उजाला योजना के माध्यम से देशभर में 36.87 करोड़ से अधिक LED बल्ब वितरित किए गए हैं। इससे प्रतिवर्ष 48.42 अरब kWh ऊर्जा की बचत हो रही है। यह पहल ऊर्जा दक्षता को बढ़ावा देने, बिजली की खपत कम करने और ऊर्जा संरक्षण को जन-आंदोलन का स्वरूप देने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही है।
