🇧🇷🌱 O Instituto de Conservação e Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Amazônia (Idesam) lançou o Desafio Bioinovação Amazônia, uma chamada internacional voltada a pesquisadores, profissionais de P&D, inovadores, pessoas que residem ou atuam na região amazônica e todos que desejam transformar conhecimento em soluções concretas para a bioeconomia.

🌿 A iniciativa reúne seis desafios estratégicos: bioativos de óleos amazônicos, óleos funcionais, novos produtos derivados da borracha, fortalecimento da cadeia da castanha-do-brasil, agregação de valor aos resíduos de frutas e desenvolvimento de amidos funcionais.

💡 Os selecionados terão acesso a uma jornada completa de inovação, com apoio financeiro (bolsas de até R$ 7,5 mil e US$ 1.300/mês), mentoria especializada, acesso a laboratórios de referência e imersão nos territórios amazônicos. Além disso, os projetos poderão acessar até R$ 100 mil para desenvolvimento e concorrer a até R$ 450 mil para investimento nos negócios.

🇧🇷🌱 has launched the Amazon Bioinnovation Challenge, an international call aimed at researchers, R&D professionals, innovators, people living or working in the Amazon region, and all those who want to turn knowledge into concrete solutions for the bioeconomy.

🌿 The initiative brings together six strategic challenges: bioactives from Amazonian oils, functional oils, new rubber-derived products, strengthening the Brazil nut value chain, adding value to fruit residues, and developing functional starches.

💡 Selected participants will gain access to a complete innovation journey, with financial support (scholarships of up to R$ 7,500 and US$ 1,300/month), specialized mentorship, access to leading laboratories, and immersion in Amazonian territories. In addition, projects may access up to R$ 100,000 for development and compete for up to R$ 450,000 for business investment.

The Embassy of Brazil was delighted to host the Brazilian Association of Fruit Producers and Exporters (ABRAFRUTAS) delegation in India, led by its Director, Mr. Jorge Luiz Raimundo de Souza, along with Mr. Wellington Carvalho, Director of International Affairs at Don Vicente.

During their visit, the delegation and guests engaged with key stakeholders across the Indian food and retail sector, including meetings with importers, distributors, industry associations, and market leaders. The visit also featured a special reception, “Terroir of Brazil: A Taste of Brazilian Fruits and Typical Dishes,” showcasing the diversity, quality, and richness of Brazilian fruits.

The delegation’s interactions provided valuable opportunities to explore new partnerships, enhance bilateral trade, and strengthen connections between Brazilian fruit exporters and the Indian market.

We thank all partners and participants who helped make this visit a great success and look forward to fostering even stronger Brazil-India collaboration in the years ahead.

The Brazilian Embassy Residence hosted a chromotherapy event led by Dr. Marcela Agudelo Osorio of the CIFAR Clinic in Gurgaon.

The event included an introductory lecture, followed by a practical demonstration of how colors can contribute to people's health and well-being, as well as enhance natural beauty, promoting a more energetic and lively appearance.

🇧🇷🤝🇮🇳 Yesterday, Ambassador Kenneth da Nóbrega addressed India’s National Defence College on “Global Security Challenges impacting Latin America & Indo-Brazil Bilateral Ties”, as part of the College’s study module on the International Security Environment.

This was the Ambassador’s third address to the College, amid growing momentum in Brazil-India defence ties. 🎖️

In the coming weeks, officers from 🇮🇳 India, 🇧🇩 Bangladesh, 🇰🇪 Kenya, 🇳🇵 Nepal, 🇴🇲 Oman, and 🇺🇿 Uzbekistan will travel to Brasília and Rio de Janeiro for a one-week study visit as part of their National Security and Strategic Studies course.
