*स्पेनिश पत्रकार मिशेल फर्नांडो ने कांशीराम आंदोलन के पुनरुद्धार और शोषितों के सांस्कृतिक परिवर्तन पर बीडीपी नेता से साक्षात्कार किया*

पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष सरदार जीवन सिंह ने इस बात पर भी ज़ोर दिया कि गुरु नानक और सिख गुरुओं का समतावादी दर्शन भारत के उत्पीड़ित लोगों के लिए एक मुक्तिदायी सांस्कृतिक ढाँचा प्रदान करता है। *जाति की अस्वीकृति, श्रम के प्रति सम्मान, लैंगिक समानता और अत्याचार का प्रतिरोध करने में निडरता, जातिविहीन, शोषण-मुक्त समाज के सिख दृष्टिकोण का मार्गदर्शक प्रकाश है - "बेगमपुरा खालसा भारत" का सपना।*
