Yesterday: what's in your food.
Today: how to actually find out.
Reading a food label is a skill. A real one. And nobody teaches it.
Here's what to look for in 60 seconds:
→ Ingredient order (first = most)
→ Sugar aliases (there are 56 of them)
→ The serving size trick (your biggest enemy)

And the next time you pick up a packet — check.

7am. You grab a packet on the way out.
Sodium benzoate. Maltodextrin. BHA. Carrageenan. Acesulfame-K.
You ate all of them. Before 8am.
Not because you chose them. Because nobody taught you to look.
Ba Dekh Rahi Hai — and this week, so are we.
One week. One full day's worth of things you consume without knowing. Starting with what's in your food.

Every single day, we eat, apply, wear, breathe, and live without ever stopping to ask what impact these choices have on our health.
is India’s first people-driven nutrition and public health movement, built on a simple but powerful belief: public health begins with everyday choices.
The movement is built around 5 Pillars that shape our daily lives:
01 Food & Nutrition Literacy: Understanding what we eat and what it truly contains.
02 Product & Consumer Awareness: Knowing what we apply on our bodies every morning.
03 Clothing & Material Awareness: Questioning the fabrics we wear for hours every day.
04 Lifestyle & Habit Health: Recognising how our daily routines shape our long-term wellbeing.
05 Environmental Health Awareness: Understanding the world we live in and how it affects our health.
These are not distant, clinical topics. They are the choices we make before breakfast, in the bathroom mirror, while getting dressed, and throughout every hour of our day. does not tell you what to do. It simply asks you to pause, question, and be aware.
Because ‘Ba’ in every household always knew awareness begins at home.

Some habits aren’t taught. They are quietly picked up from kitchen shelves, shared meals, and the choices made every day.
Children learn by watching. Always have.

We didn’t question it back then.
The last bite was always special. Fed slowly, with patience,
and a quiet belief that it carried strength.
“Last bite mein saari power hoti hai.”
Maybe it wasn’t about the food at all but the love that made us finish it.

Who is Ba?
She isn’t loud. She doesn’t lecture. She simply pauses us, just before we eat. Ba teaches one simple habit: to ask why before saying yes because childhood is built from everyday choices and the questions we learn to ask early shape the health we carry for life.
This is not about perfect food. It’s about conscious food. Not fear but curiosity. Not control but understanding.
Walk with Ba. Teach one child. Tell one friend. Because when questions grow, so does health and Ba is watching.

“What if leadership didn’t begin with a title, but with a question?”
It begins the moment you choose to care, about what you eat, what you learn, and what you stand for.
At Ba Dekh Rahi Hai, leadership isn’t about being ahead of others, but being aware for others. If you believe change starts on campuses and travels home, classrooms, and communities - this is your call to step forward.
📢 Campus Ambassador Applications are now live.

Because when young voices lead with awareness, a healthier India follows.

A new year doesn’t begin with resolutions. It begins with noticing. Noticing what goes into our tiffins. Noticing what we feed our children and what we unknowingly ignore.
Growing up, Ba always asked questions.
Not to doubt us but to protect us.
This year, let’s bring that habit back.
Before every bite, every packet, every promise let’s pause and ask: Ismein kya hai?

India doesn’t need more awareness posts. It needs young leaders who show up.

Winter has a way of slowing everything down.
The television stays on mute, conversations become softer,
and warmth is found in sitting a little closer.
Under one quilt, time feels gentler. Stories don’t need words. Presence feels enough.
“Sardi sirf thand nahi laati, saath baithne ka bahana bhi laati hai.”
Ba is watching, not just what we eat,
but how we grow up together.
