Amb Peter Munyiri, Kenya High Commissioner to India, participated in the Federation of India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)- India Exim Bank Conference on "Strengthening India-Africa Trade through Innovative Finance" and presented on key priority areas and opportunities for investment and partnerships in Kenya. He urged investors to pursue pathways that encourage partnerships that are country specific as opposed to seeking markets for goods. The day long event brought together Chambers members, entrepreneurs, India Government officials and Diplomats.

Amb Peter Munyiri Kenya High Commissioner to New Delhi met with his counterparts H.E Amb Molalign Asfaw of Ethiopia and H.E Amb Isse Abdullah of Djibouti for a consultative meeting on the upcoming India - Africa Summit scheduled to take place from May 28 to June 1, 2026.

Kenya High Commission Mission officials led by Education attaché Ms Rachel Ngetich met with students from various universities in Gujarat, Ahmedabad to discuss their welfare and rules governing their stay in India. The students requested for more participation of the Mission in their activities such as cultural exchange and celebrations of National days. The team also met officials from ICCR and government officials in the State of Gujarat. ICCR offers scholarship to students taking various programs in India.

Hon Musalia W Mudavadi participated in the inaugural session of the 11th RaisinaDialogue, alongside leaders from across the world. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi lead the opening forum together with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, who delivered the keynote address as Chief Guest.
The 11th edition of the Dialogue is convened under the theme “Samskara: Assertion, Accommodation, Advancement,” highlighting the need for nations to balance identity, adaptability and progress while responding to emerging geopolitical, economic and technological challenges.
Kenya’s participation offers a strategic platform to project African perspectives in global governance, deepen partnerships with India and other nations, and reinforce Kenya’s role as a regional hub for trade, innovation and sustainable development, while advancing regional integration through the East African Community, COMESA and the African Continental Free Trade Area.

H.E Dr. Hon Musalia W Mudavadi held talks with H.E. Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, India’s Minister for External Affairs, on the sidelines of the in New Delhi. Hon. Mudavadi expressed appreciation to the Government and people of India for hosting the Raisina Dialogue, an important global platform bringing together leaders from government, business and academia to address pressing geopolitical and economic issues, particularly those affecting the Global South.
The two discussed strengthening Kenya–India cooperation in trade and investment, agriculture, manufacturing, health and pharmaceuticals, ICT, education and tourism. They also reviewed progress following the 2023 State Visit of H.E. President William Samoei Ruto to India and explored new opportunities to deepen economic collaboration, agricultural mechanisation, private sector investment and security cooperation.
They did reaffirm shared commitment to advancing the priorities of the Global South, promoting effective multilateralism and supporting reforms of global institutions. Hon Musalia Mudavadi sought India’s continued support in strengthening the United Nations Office at Nairobi as a key UN hub serving the region and the wider international community.
