A 𝟕-𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 on Scientific Beekeeping & Honey Value Enhancement is being conducted under J&K Bank.

CARD CSR initiative project started at -

📍Gool, Ramban, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐥 are conducting sessions with 70 farmers along with Govt official of Ramban, focusing on practical knowledge that can directly support livelihoods.

📍Simultaneously, in Kunzer, Tangmarg (Baramulla), 𝐌𝐬. 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐡𝐚 𝐒𝐲𝐞𝐝 is conducting training with another group of 70 farmers and Govt official of Apiculture Department Baramulla.

📅 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞 : 26 March 2026 – 1 April 2026

The program opened with a vibrant inaugural session, setting a positive tone and highlighting the eagerness of farmers to adopt scientific and value-driven approaches.

The journey continues — From 30 March, the next phase of training will begin in Kupwara, extending the initiative to more communities.

Because sometimes, real change starts small— with a hive, a little knowledge, and a lot of belief.

🌾The first batch of the 𝟕-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 on Scientific Beekeeping in District Baramulla concluded with certificate distribution and a closing ceremony.

The programme focused on scientific apiculture practices and honey value addition, contributing to skill development, livelihood enhancement, and sustainable rural growth.

The event was graced by the presence of the 𝐀𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫, 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚, and the 𝐒𝐮𝐛-𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫, 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚, whose support and guidance strengthened the initiative.

This initiative, organized by the Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD) in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, aims to equip participants with scientific knowledge and practical skills to promote sustainable livelihoods and strengthen rural entrepreneurship.

Practical exposure like this bridges the gap between theory and real-world application—building confidence, competence, and capacity at the grassroots level.

A 𝟕-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 on Scientific Beekeeping and Honey Value Addition was inaugurated in Ramban by 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧. The programme is being organized by Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD) in collaboration with the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧, and sponsored by J&K Bank under CSR.

The initiative aims to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for farmers, rural youth, and Self-Help Groups, with a special focus on scientific practices and value addition of the GI-tagged 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲. Experts including Ayaz Ahmed Reshi and officers from the Agriculture Department highlighted the scope for self-employment, market linkage, and rural economic growth, in line with Atmanirbhar Bharat and the National Beekeeping & Honey Mission.
