रानी दुर्गावती का नाम भारत और गोंडवाना के इतिहास में ऐसा नाम है जो केवल मुगलों और अकबर के खिलाफ अपनी वीरता के लिए ही नहीं जाना जाता है। उनके शासन में किए गए उनके जनकल्याणकारी कार्य बताते हैं कि वे केवल एक वीरांगना महारानी ही नहीं बल्कि एक कुशल प्रशासक भी थीं। महारानी दुर्गावती के बलिदान दिवस के अवसर पर केंदुझर Municipality Auditorium Hall में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जनजाति आयोग के माननीय सदस्य श्री अनंत नायक ने अपने विचार व्यक्त किए। उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी बहादुरी और लोकप्रियता को गोंडवाना के लोग आज भी हमेशा याद करते हैं।

भारत की महानतम वीरांगना रानी दुर्गावती अपने नाम के अनुरूप ही तेज, साहस और शौर्य का प्रतिमान थी। उन्होंने मालवा के शासक बाज बहादुर, दिल्ली के सुल्तान शेरशाह सूरी और मुगल बादशाह अकबर को युद्ध के मैदान में नाकों चने चबवा दिए। वर्ष 1564 में रानी दुर्गावती ने मुगल सेना के सामने झुकने से इंकार कर स्वतंत्रता और अस्मिता के लिए युद्ध भूमि को चुना। इस युद्ध में घायल दुर्गावती ने स्वयं की कटार से अपने सीने पर प्रहार कर आत्मोत्सर्ग कर दिया। ऐसी वीरांगना को शत-शत नमन।

Earlier this week, on the 19th and 20th of June, a national seminar shed light on Halma and other community-driven traditions of the Indian tribes. The Hon'ble Chairperson of NCST graced the inaugural session with his esteemed presence and profound insights.

His speech touched upon the significance of Parmartha in the Indian social fabric, suggesting that developing a deep understanding of such traditions should be part of the syllabus for teaching Social Work in the Indian context. He stressed that Indian communities aren't contract-based; instead, they are fundamentally united by Parmartha.
Using the example of Halma and other traditions, he explained how the Janjati culture managed to survive and thrive despite numerous struggles. The resilience of the Janjati community and their enduring sense of Parmartha presents a fascinating study. Their unique perspective—seeing not 'we and nature' but 'we are nature'—naturally leads to environmental enrichment. In traditions like Halma, environment and self-enrichment merge seamlessly.

He made a compelling case against a charity-based approach to social work. By creating beneficiaries, we undermine our self-pride and foster dependence, leading to an unsustainable society. For sustainable development, he urged us to awaken the Parmartha within people and create more Parmarthis. In contrast, a society of beneficiaries risks devolving into a selfish, unsustainable society.

The Chairperson concluded by expressing hope that this seminar will result in publications elucidating these vital traditions and the lessons they hold for a sustainable future.

The inaugural session was also enriched by the enlightening addresses of several distinguished speakers. Sachchidanand Joshi, the Executive and Academic Head of Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA); Padma Shri Mahesh Sharma, the founder & president of Shivganga Jhabua; and Smt Bharati Pravin Pawar, the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare of India, all shared their unique perspectives and insights, adding depth to the dialogue.

आज दिनांक 20 जून को राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जनजाति आयोग के माननीय अध्यक्ष श्री हर्ष चौहान ने राष्ट्रपति श्रीमती द्रौपदी मुर्मू से भेंट कर उन्हें जन्मदिन की शुभकामनाएं प्रेषित की.

The scheme has been approved during 2021-22 and aims to promote entrepreneurship among the Scheduled Tribes and to provide concessional finance to them. The VCF-ST scheme would be a social sector initiative to promote ST entrepreneurship and to support and incubate the start-up ideas by ST youth. The scheme would be managed by IFCI VCF Ltd.

This past Saturday, an enlightening workshop was conducted at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, organized by the Tribal Research and Knowledge Centre. Esteemed dignitaries including Dr. J K Bajaj, Indian Council of Social Science Research; Dr. K N Chavda, VC & Dr. R. C. Gadhvi. REGISTRAR, VNGSU; Dr. Milind Dandekar, Professor, SGSITS Indore; Sandeep Kavishwar, Joint Organizing Secretary, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, contributed their thoughts and perspectives during the inaugural session. The Ekal Vidyalaya project demonstrated how even minor interventions, if built on an understanding of the Janjati community, can yield significant impacts. The chairperson concluded by stating that the perceived failure of certain policies stems from our lack of understanding of the Janjati people.

NSTFDC provides concessional loans through the State Channelising Agencies nominated by the respective State Government and certain Public Sector/ Co-op. Banks, Regional Rural Banks having to refinance agreements with NSTFDC and National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), Stree Nidhi Credit Cooperative Federation Ltd., North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi), NABKISAN Finance Ltd. (Subsidiary of NABARD), etc.

Under the scheme, the Ministry releases funds in the form of Equity Share Capital assistance to NSTFDC/STFDCs which is deployed to give concessional loans to eligible members of Scheduled Tribes.

The scheme has been approved during 2021-22 to strengthen livelihood opportunities for tribal artisans of the North Eastern States of India through increased efficiency in procurement, logistics, and marketing of tribal products. TRIFED is the nodal implementing agency for the scheme.

In the next five years, from 2021-22 to 2025-26, the PMJVM has the vision to strengthen tribal entrepreneurship initiatives and to facilitate livelihood opportunities by promoting more efficient, equitable, self-managed, optimum use of natural resources, MFP/farm & non-farm, tribal product-based enterprises promoted under the scheme.
