Women Development Cell of Swami Shraddhanand College today organised a seminar today on the topic- ‘What you need to know about women’s health’.Principal.Prof. Parveen Garg Garg welcome the guests .WDC convenor Dr .Aishwarya Jha introduced the topic.The concept of proactive awareness and preventative interventions is more effective than later remedial action. Dr.Nisha Bhatnagar (Obstetrician and gynaecologist) highlighted the importance of reproductive health, menstrual heath and hygiene along with the role of proper nutrition for women at different stages of life. Dr. Sonal Chadha (clinical psychologist) discussed about the importance of mental health in addition to the physical health of a person. She interacted with the students about how social media can detrimentally impact the mental health. Both the esteemed speakers had a very fruitful interaction with our young minds and guided them.Vote of Thanks was given by Dr Tanushri Saxena.The talk was well anchored by Dr.Aanchal Sethi.Wdc members Dr.Partibha,Neha,Akanksha Singh,Dr.Nitin& Other faculty members were present.

Women Development Centre, Swami Shraddhanand College, in collaboration with NGO BREAKTHROUGH, India is going to organize a training session on tackling Street Harassment 22nd Jan, 2022 at 11:00 AM. We need to create a world where everyone can live with dignity, equality and justice. This can happen only when we speak-up and intervene, through bystander intervention. Through this 1.5-hour online training, learn strategies used to respond to harassment, how to prioritize your own safety while intervening and how to respond if you get harassed.

Tribute to Late M.S Subbulakshmi on her death anniversary. She was the first musician to be awarded the Bharat Ratna, and her death will always remain a great loss to Indian Music.‬
