Vendor Development Programme (VDP) for MSMEs under the RAMP Scheme was organised by Youthnet on 14th October 2025 in Dimapur where resource persons from CGST Dimapur participated.

Shri Kennedy M, Inspector CGST spoke on GST compliance and its relevance for MSMEs and Shri Imnamayang Ao, Executive Assistant spoke on Introduction to Government e Marketplace (GeM).

An awareness programme on the recent reforms in GST and certificate distribution for GST Sahyogi’s was held at Hotel Saramati In Dimapur on 26th September.

Shri SK Sinha, Chief Commissioner of CGST and Customs of the northeast zone, was the special guest at the event which was attended by officers of central and state GST departments along with representatives of local trade bodies.

35 local youth from Nagaland underwent an intensive 2 week training course at CGST Dimapur which was conducted by National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) Shillong. Resource persons were flown in from Chennai, Lucknow, Kolkata, Guwahati and other parts of the country to impart quality training in GST basic complainces to the GST Sahyogi’s.

GST Sahyogi (Helper/Companion) programme is a pilot project being implemented first in Nagaland and on its successful implementation will be scaled up and replicated in other parts of the country as well. The training was especially curated keeping Nagaland’s economic situation in mind.

A 2-week GST Sahyogi training programme aimed at creating a cadre of trained local youth to assist small businesses in Nagaland is underway at CGST Dimapur Commissionerate. The training is being conducted by NACIN Shillong in collaboration with CGST Dimapur and will also have resource persons from ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India).

The training is from 15th to 26th September and will focus on practical aspects of GST such as registration, filing of returns, payment of taxes and addressing common compliance challenges and include hands on training.

GST Outreach programme was conducted in Mokokchung Nagaland by CGST Dimapur Commissionerate.

Shri Jayavelu, Assistant Commissioner CGST and team interacted with the members of Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries, local taxpayers, traders, tax consultants and business owners.
