Fulfilling a commitment made during last year's Zonal Karbi Youth Festival, the Hon'ble Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) & MLA, Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, formally unveiled the statue of Ru Rangsina Sarpo today at the Volongkom Aji Sports Complex under the Langpher MAC Constituency.

The unveiling ceremony took place in the presence of Hon'ble MP Shri Amarsing Tisso; Hon'ble MLAs Shri Lunsing Teron, Smt. Niso Terangpi, and Shri Surjya Rongphar; Local MAC Shri Madhuram Lekthe; Executive Members (EMs) of KAAC; and other distinguished guests, marking a significant tribute to regional culture and heritage.

The Hon'ble CEM of KAAC, Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, attended the World Tourism Day observance and unveiled the official poster commemorating the 75th Year of Karbi Anglong District (Platinum Jubilee Year 2026–2027). Held under the collaborative banner of the KAAC Tourism Department, the Karbi Anglong Sports Association, and the Karbi Anglong Mountaineering Association (K**A), the forthcoming initiatives—featuring a marathon, a 75 km cycling event, and trekking—aim to elevate local adventure tourism and celebrate the historic milestone.

The Hon’ble Chief Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, graced the 1st Karbi Lawyers’ Meet 2026 as the Chief Guest at the Lankung Habe Auditorium Hall, Diphu.

Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble CEM commended the legal fraternity for their pivotal contribution toward upholding justice, defending constitutional rights, and guiding society on legal and administrative matters. Recognizing the vital role Karbi legal professionals play in community welfare and institutional development, he urged them to continue extending dedicated legal counsel and support to the people of the region.

As part of the program, the Hon’ble CEM presented Certificates of Appreciation to distinguished advocates and members of the legal community in recognition of their commendable service and dedication to the profession.

The event witnessed the presence of notable dignitaries, executive members, and legal practitioners from across the district.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma held an interactive session yesterday at Kajir Ronghangpi Guest House, Taralangso, Diphu, in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Executive Member (CEM), Dr. Tuliram Ronghang. The meeting was attended by representatives of various social, student, and cultural organisations from the twin districts of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong, alongside delegates from the Karbi Welfare Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao. The interaction provided an open and constructive platform for delegation members to share their views, concerns, and aspirations directly with the Hon’ble Chief Minister, facilitating meaningful dialogue on key issues concerning the welfare of the people and regional development. Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) and MLA, along with a team of delegates, warmly welcomed Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma upon his arrival at the Taralangso Helipad in Diphu today.

This is the Chief Minister's first visit to Karbi
Anglong since taking office for his second term. Dr. Sarma is visiting to offer his condolences to Dr. Ronghang on the recent demise of his father, late Joysing Ronghang.

Honourable Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) and MLA, Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, felicitated young athletes A***n Singnar and Jessica Singnarpi for their outstanding performances at the Assam Open Ranking Ju-Jitsu Championship 2026. The duo are the children of Forest Ranger Shri Pator Singnar.

At the championship, organized by the Greater Nagaon Ju-Jitsu Association:
* Master A***n Singnar secured two Gold Medals in the Under-8 category (Ne-Waza and Fighting System).
* Ms. Jessica Singnarpi earned two Silver Medals in the Under-12 category (Ne-Waza and Fighting System).

Congratulating both athletes on their achievements, the Honourable CEM extended his best wishes for their future endeavors, expressing confidence that they will continue to excel and bring further pride to Karbi Anglong and the state of Assam.
