On 19th June, 2026, a felicitation programme was organized at the AGCL Campus, Duliajan to honour Hon’ble MLA of Sadiya Constituency Shri Bolin Chetia, on the occasion of his assuming charge as the Chairman of Assam Gas Company Limited for the third consecutive term.

The event was attended by AGCL officials, employees and well-wishers, who extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for his successful tenure.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Vice Chairman Shri Indra Gogoi, Managing Director Shri Gokul Chandra Swargiary, Chief General Manager Shri Rubul Baruah, and other senior officials of the organization.

| Residents and businesses in Dibrugarh town, Chabua, and nearby areas will experience a temporary suspension of piped natural gas supply on May 25, 2026, following emergency pipeline maintenance work by Oil India Limited (OIL).

In an official statement issued on Sunday, Assam Gas Company Limited (AGCL) announced that the gas supply will remain suspended from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The disruption is expected to affect domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers across the region.

According to AGCL, the temporary shutdown has become necessary to facilitate urgent maintenance activities being carried out by OIL on its pipeline infrastructure. The company has urged consumers to make alternative arrangements during the suspension period.

“Gas supply shall remain interrupted in the Dibrugarh area affecting the consumer base of Dibrugarh Town, Chabua and nearby areas,” the release stated.

AGCL also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to consumers and assured that normal gas supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the maintenance work.
