STUDENTS’ FEDERATION OF INDIA
CENTRAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Date: 27-09-2026
Press Release

Condemn the attack by RSS backed ABGP goons on the students of SRFTI

The Students' Federation of India (SFI) strongly condemns the violent attack on students at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI). Clashes erupted after the administration permitted the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat to use the campus auditorium for external political purposes, violating longstanding institutional precedents.
When general students rightfully protested against highly provocative speeches delivered from the stage, they were brutally assaulted by outsiders, leaving several injured. SFI slams the management's compliance in allowing communal outfits to breach academic spaces. We demand an immediate judicial inquiry, absolute accountability from the director, and the safety of all pupils.

SFI calls for nationwide agitations against the attack and demand swift action against the perpetrators.
