The school was establishe in 1948 as a primary school. It was upgraded in May 2003 as middle school, and later to High School due to large no. of students.

For teaching staffposts were created in Jan 2006. Due to increasing students strength & public demand it was upgraded to Higher Secondary in July 2007. Demands for Sn. Sec School have also been raised but due to land shortage & non-filling of Sn. Sec School norms the upgradation order has been cancelled in previous years.
